Same, I should have been clearer and more taken the time to explain. In the past I was freer with upvotes and enjoyed the back and forth even when we had zero in common. What changed is the trolls continuously spewing hate and debunked leftist talking points. I will admit I was starting to see all democrats as simple-minded clones. I will do better.

I upvoted the alcoholism comment because it hit home, alcoholism doesn't care about parties or causes, it just destroys. I can see a major highway from my house and have responded to wreaks late at night just to watch people die because some drunk was driving. Nothing is worse than waiting 20-40 minutes for first responders to arrive knowing it will be too late and watching the drunk walk to the ambulance.

Smart, you should see my comment to Modda. You don't want to hear someone screaming in pain until they mercifully pass, especially when they were just headed home from work and a drunk crossed the line and killed them.

There will be no mercy if I ever sit a jury and a drunk is involved. There are plenty of better choices, don't drink, designated driver, stay home etc.
