I suspect the left might have been less upset over the ceasefire/peace deal if Hamas weren't forced to give up their main bargaining chip - living hostages. There are, apparently, 28 deceased abductees they are "unable" to find that are still valuable to their families and to the nation of Israel. That will not save Hamas.
