Please help us improve Imgflip!

I experimented with Images-to-GIF to circumvent the AI.

I pasted several frames from a bill wurtz video, and added a single, subtle frame saying the f-word. The AI didn't pick it up.

I made the GIF with the sole intent of reporting it so the AI starts picking it up.

P.S. I have since deleted the GIF.

I'm curious why it would bother you much either way though, clearly if people really want stuff like this they'll just enable NSFW. Are you just worried about getting fewer views and likes on the image?

All swears are counted as nsfw. I’ve tried everything from “go***amn” to “f**k” to see what triggers it. It’s everything.

I've only seen one creation that I considered a false NSFW positive, which I already passed along.

Semi-related, It may be beneficial for the community if the 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 of updating an image to NSFW is attributed to Imgflip or it's AI, rather than to the user creating the content, which may or may not actually be what Imgflip considers NSFW.

Looks like the original title of this meme contained the word "f**k" which will correctly trigger an NSFW tag.

So it looks at past titles too? Wtf is this nonsense. I took it out for that specific reason.

I think the system doesn't currently re-check for flags after edits are made. I can see the value in such a feature so I'll make a note of it.

Hi! I have recently been permabanned in msmg, which really wouldn't go anywhere outside the stream, but the person who did it was Andrew, a sitemod who CAN get in trouble. I, and my alt, have been both perma post and comment banned in MSMG. The reason this happened is because I told Andrew that I thought that a post I had made wasn't harassment. I tried to kindly explain that "I believe my viewpoint is correct because of x, y, and z." Andrew's response is to ban me for quote on quote "Breaking the ToS."
