Intelligent people buy a product based on the quality and price, not because of who's modeling it.

Part of that is seeing what it looks like being worn in different positions, how easy it is to put on and take off, and how easy it is to move in.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, some find the bottom attractive others find the top attractive

The vast majority find the top repulsive. Especially the way they're dressed. I mean, are those swimsuits under jeans? It's grotesque.

It isn't about what they look like, per say. It's about the idea that average looking to plain ugly can be models. The two people on top are NOT models, nor should they ever be. Modeling should be reserved for the people who the majority believe looks beautiful. It isn't for slobs like those on top. There's a reason I'm not in the modeling industry.

"I think we should keep pushing unrealistic beauty standards because everyone who doesn't look like that is a slob"

That isn't how real life works. You can't change people's opinions on who they find beautiful or attractive. Reality says that most people find the top photo "models" to be ugly, unattractive, or just plain average. Forcing this on people for the sake of "wokeness" is unrealistic. Hence, why we're going back to normal beauty standards in ads and commercials.

"Most" is the key word right there, some people would find the top attractive, this is basic capitalism, they are expanding their demographic to sell more jeans, and personally i don't really find any of them attractive

The people on the top don’t look bad though

I genuinely do not understand what the hell your point is. The people in the top are not bad looking people. The person on the bottom is just a thirst trap

The people in the top are morbidly obese, a perfect example of why the US is the fattest, over-medicated people in the world. People shouldn't aspire to anything like this. Trying to portray it as "normal" only encourages kids to remain inactive and out of shape.

They’re not unhealthy, they just have certain body shapes

Do you even know what morbid obesity looks like? Because that is not it. Those people are not exclusively unhealthy just because they aren’t to your ideal body standards. One of my buddies who I used to go to the gym with had a very similar build to the person on the left, and he was in fact very healthy. He ate healthily and worked out, he just had a large body type.

Besides, the people shown are not modeling their bodies, they are modeling the clothes. Clothes that anyone can wear.

I’m sorry you’re too stuck up your own ass to realize that not everyone conforms to your standards of what makes someone attractive

Yes, they are morbidly obese. You don't seem to understand that morbid obesity starts at the point that being obese negatively impacts your health. Secondly most people don't find that attractive. It's a bad tactic to sell something.

No, they are not morbidly obese. You don’t seem to understand that anyone who is moderately large is not inherently obese. And again, they are not advertising the people, they’re advertising the clothes.

"For an average adult height, morbid obesity (BMI ≥ 40) typically starts around 250–300 pounds or more, depending on height. For example:

At 5'5" (1.65 m), a BMI of 40 equates to about 240 pounds.
At 5'10" (1.78 m), it’s about 280 pounds.
At 6'0" (1.83 m), it’s about 295 pounds.

For BMI ≥ 35 with health conditions, the threshold is lower, e.g., around 210 pounds at 5'5". Exact weight varies by height, as BMI is weight (kg) divided by height (m) squared. To convert BMI to pounds, use: weight (lb) = BMI × height (in)² × 0.045."

Yes they clearly are morbidly obese. They are advertising what the pants look like on the average person.

By that definition, this fellow is morbidly obese, correct?

Because this guy right here is Brian Shaw, winner of the World’s Strongest Man title in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016.

small fact that you do have to have muscles in life or just a good fat to muscle ratio to prevent health problems later
especially if you are a group thats more prone to it (such as south asians genetically)

true, but these people featured in the image are not Morbidly obese

you don’t have to be morbidity obese to get health problems. what matters is a good balance of fat and muscle.
