It could easily be rebooted.

And it should be!!

Al Bundy ranks up there on the all-time list of TeeVee dads, imo, with Red Foreman.

Gotta go, I think Hondo is coming on...

You mean "Grandma" Kelly? Let's not forget ol' Uncle Bud. Did he ever marry that blow up doll, or has he switched to AI? Would a roughly 77 years old Al still be selling shoes? Or would he be able to retire (without Peggy) on the huge 4010(l) that he built up with the shoe store match? And what about Peggy? Are the rumors true that she moved up north to Charming (before the fire) and married some guy in a biker gang? I guess it could be a total trainwreck, but I'd watch it. At least the first episode. 🤪

A TV show is an event to attract an audience, advertisers pay the show to play their ads to this audience. Advertisers have a set budget, so they want to play ads to the biggest audience, not a small audience. It's simple business marketing.

Ya and for whatever reason they had given this late night TV show an annual budget of over $100million. Colbert himself was only getting about 1/5 of that... So $80+ Million for.. the writers? Guests? His chair?

And with Netflix and YouTube here to stay, traditional late night TV shows are probably on the way out anyway. Heck I used to watch one or 2 myself pretty regularly... Now it's basically never. I might catch a clip on YouTube though.

Political "Contributions" are tax deductible

Colbert has a staff of 200 individuals for what purpose ?

Oh man. you gonna pull the ol' SoRoS on me? 🙄

For what? Eh .. I guess lighting, writing, makeup, graphics, possibly costumes, editing, people who book the guests, I think there's a live audience so people who deal with them, security, etc.. idk exactly everyone but what I do know is $80M ÷ 200 employees would be $400,000 each.
😳

I somehow doubt David Letterman had 200 staffers. I could be wrong.

The best work Colbert ever did or will do, is his interview with Author Maurice Sendak.

Followed closely by his work for Jon Stewart interviewing Congressmen and Senators, especially when he'd already lampooned others, and they still fell for it.

Ya and I somehow doubt the budget for David Letterman was over $100 Million. I also could be wrong.

Seems like an insane budget for a show that's essentially sitting there telling jokes, finding clips, and interviewing people... 1 hour, 4 (?) times a week. Idk.

I wouldn't speak to what was Colbert's "best work ever" was as I can't say I have seen all of his work.

I still get a chuckle out of both of these though:

What is even more interesting than Colbert's dry humor take on migrant legal work-visa holding migrants, is the lack of legality in the migrant's Colbert supports in your video,
and Cesar Chavez opinion expressed upon the same topic in 1974.

"So $80+ Million for.. the writers? Guests? His chair?"

200 staffers on that show, yolo. I'm sure some were paid quite well. (whether they actually worked on the show or not...)

Plus, I'm sure they were all living it up on the company dime. Expensive martini lunches, dinners, nights out on the town, guest perks, etc., etc.

Unless you're suggesting somebody there was skimming...

Plus it takes an 'overflowing with talent and bodies' writers' room to come up with all the witty crap Colbert dumped out of his butt onto the screen. (hint: just like the image I attached)

Screenshot does look pretty corny but maybe their sponsors include Pfizer idk.... Anyway..

Ya I was thinking maybe people there were overpaid. If Colbert gets 20M then that leaves 80M..... 80M ÷ 200 employees = $400k each per year. Even half that is 200k.. nothing to sneeze at.
1 up, 4w
So you’re freely admitting that it’s not about political or artistic integrity for Colbert, it’s about taking money from sponsors. For some unusual reason, that doesn’t surprise me.

And fwiw, your mathematical take seems pretty reasonable. Gotta say I never thought I’d be making that comment about something you posted.

Wow. Calling out the practice of disabling comments as a restriction upon free speech,
while enjoying commenting as an exercise in expressing ones own free speech, are the 2 actions that is what I'm taking umbrage with.

Several other memers, do Drive-By Memes like this.

The action is the topic. I've got no beef with Russell or for another example, Lady Deerheart, as that moniker enabled comments for quite awhile. I do have a beef with those actions. They're free to do it. I'm free to acknowledge their practice of it without attacking them. Just pointing it out.

Pointing out the practice of the person, and personally attacking another are two different things.

Ironic how the reply Russell above yours is a fine example of Ad hominem.
He calls it "the best advice (he) can offer."
2 ups, 4w,

Of course they’re free to do it. I don’t think anybody questions that. It’s just that you have to wonder what kind of person makes a point and then decides that it’s fine to suppress other people‘s comments on that point. Again, they’re free to do it. But it gets to the validity of their point. If it can’t even withstand the tiniest bit of scrutiny then the chances are that it’s not really a very good point.

For some reason, I am enjoying that the person that replied "Ad Hominem"
as if they had me in a "gotcha" moment, until they got called on it and deleted the comment.
All they did was help prove the point. I'd like to thank them for that. Yet, they left.

They took their ball and went home,
after an attempt to bully failed bigly.

The only thing their friend BG has to offer is personal insults in reply, ad hominem..

Technically the covid jabs are not "Vaccines" yet love to piggyback on the acceptance by the public of the proven efficacy of actual vaccines in preventing the acquisition of certain maladies.

The mRna immune system booster juice is more accurately Gene Therapy.
13.53 Billion doses have been meted out to approximately 6 Billion Humans
of the 8Billion Souls on planet earth.

The mRna Covid innoculations do not stop transmission. They are supposed to stop it from being acquired by those that take it. Sadly, they do not.
Many people have acquired the SARS Covid-19 after getting the shots.
This is not how human immunology works.
The Flu Vaccines handed out at the shopping mall for free for the past few decades, only eased the acceptance of having some foreign substance introduced into peoples veins without any guarantee of it working very well.

Most importantly, they are meant to reduce the severity and the risk of infection. So, sure, you could still get COVID, but will very likely survive with no permanent damage left behind
0 ups, 3w,
1 reply
"MEANT TO REDUCE THE SEVERITY AND RISK OF INFECTION"
and actually having even ONE randomized study to affirm that the mRna Gene Therapy Jabs
do as you claim.

Read what you wrote out loud. "So, sure, you could still get COVID, but "

So, if you got polio vax and then got polio after you would say:
"So, sure, you could still get Polio, but....."
or
"So, sure, you could get measles, mumps, or rubella, but..."

Actual Vaccines statistically speaking, do not work the way you accept the CoVax to work.
Is that a problem or not ?
0 ups, 3w
This CoVax Jab does not work like an actual Vaccine. To say so is ludicrous.

To call the CoVax Jab anything but mRna Gene Therapy immune system booster juice
and instead get lazy and call it a "Vaccine" is really fibbing by omission.

-idk this guy from this show i watched
0 ups, 3w
You're exactly correct.
Yet, you are describing actual vaccines and making the point made about the experimental "covax" valid in regards to piggybacking. GENE THERAPY is NOT Vaccination. They're just playing upon the acceptance of Vaccination as legitimate medicine
ALLEGEDLY to sell their unvetted experimental product.

For what purpose are children under 12, kids whom did NOT get Covid by any
significantly statistical measure being REQUIRED in the USA to take it, in order to go to school?
This was MANDATED in many states during the Public Pandemonium.

Many already know the LibWeirdo answer to why kids are still getting it: "To save Grandma". While in Europe, no child under 12 were/are recommended to take the jab. Not one.

0 ups, 3w
VACCINES, the actual ones that are not experimental mRna Gene Therapy, are not evil.

Coercing 76% of the World Population into taking an experimental Gene Therapy via
FEAR MONGERING, might be considered less than ethical at best.

To some people, they might call taking advantage of that FEAR
to the point of Global Pandemonium for Fun and Profit, an act of evil.
You be the judge.

SMALLPOX is eradicated in the modern world, and is no longer on the list to give children.
Smallpox vaccine is an ACTUAL Vaccine. Does it still exist in the 3rd world? Maybe.

What if Covid-19 is less likely to be contracted by children than Smallpox?
Would it still be advocated for them to get the mRna Gene Therapy ?

One more question for any of you apparently highly credentialed memers.
Does the "Spanish Flu" Virus still exist ?

The one that caused the last Global Pandemic in 1918? If so, what is the reason for not developing the CoVax equivalent for it? Could it be that eventually with ALL SARS virus mutations, they get weaker than the last? Human immunology develops and evolves and responds to build an immunity towards any strain.

Why is it MANY LIKE YOU, ARE MORE AFRAID of Covid-19 than The SPANISH FLU Virus ?
0 ups, 3w,

Proof?

Hell, old Autopen Brandon had the files for four years. Don't you think if there were anything incriminating about the Tangerine Tornado in those files, that it would have been leaked by now?

Or do you believe that an administration that has shown that it would make up lies upon lies upon lies about Trump, in an effort to take him down, would just ignore perfectly good factual evidence that would achieve their goal?

Nope, I'm not worried about anything in the Epstein files as far as Trump goes. Dems just want to keep this issue going for all the wrong reasons. It should keep going so we can find out who the really sick bastards are, but they want to keep it going to distract everyone from all the declassified documents that show Obama was the actually Traitor in Chief.
