Since school boards are comprised of elected officials and elected officials are always part of a governmental structure, doesn't that make a school board telling people what books they're allowed to read government censorship?

As far as I can tell, school boards are a fuster-cluck anyways so their opinion doesn't matter. Also if you are afraid of your children asking unconformable questions about things they have read to you, you aren't a good parent. Let your kids be exposed to things, let them shape their own identity rather than sheltering them from anything that opposes your world view. This isn't Austin Powers. They aren't your own Mini-Me

If I were married and had children I would thank you to keep your own counsel about how I would raise them.
