That was Biden. That's why the Democrats lost the election. Inflation? Culture wars? Remember?

It's 1984.
He won't believe what he's seeing with his own eyes. The media says the economy is collapsing, so the fact that groceries are actually getting cheaper is irrelevant.

Well welcome to 2025, Stock Market doing so poorly, that Trump blamed it on Biden and called it his. Till Thusdays when they started going back up. Now Trump is calling it his again like he did last year even before the election. The USD is weakening. GDP is down for the first time since Bush's recession. Prices on goods not only haven't gone down, Trump has deliberately raised them even further with tariffs.

Who effen cares about the stock market. Its all imaginary dollars anyway, it's a measure of rich people's faith in the businesses. It's the worst indicator of how actual working americans are doing.
Only FOREIGN goods are affected by tariffs. Those products are only cheap because countries can pay thier workers slave wages with virtually no enviromental or labor regulations. Ironically, the same people have been complaining about the "actual cost" of cheap products are suddenly outraged that someone's doing something to counteract it, just because they don't like who that person is. If any liberal politician were suggesting an import tax on products that might be unethically produced, most liberals would laud it as both a way of counteracting unethical foreign business practices as well as a brilliant way of raising government revenue.
And I buy my groceries, and those are getting cheaper, and while I can no longer get cheap stationery on temu (yes, I'm part of the problem) I like being able to afford eggs and meat again. I think it's a fair trade off.
And we might even bring some jobs back to the U.S. if that $4 a day wage is less/un-profitable due to tariffs. But that would take time.

With the luxury groceries you're listing, you sound like the type who has a fair amount of money in stocks. Bassic essentials are down in price. Meat, eggs, regular bread, dry pasta, ect. Anything with the name "rustica" in the mname is clearly gonna rip you off. "Double dutch chocolate turkey hill"? WTF is a Lintzer tart anyway. You expect me to take you seriously when you sound like a spoiled rich kid. Do you even have a job or are you a trust fund college kid?
You claim stocks are important, but cite the man you hate and disagree with everything on as your source.
Trump is a pompous blowhard who is trying to impress people. I know that. That doesn't mean that every choice he makes is a disaster, despite what the media tells us. The economy is improving, slow as it is.

I'm not even close to rich. I'm one bad month away from being homeless.
It's just you don't sound like you've ever actually had to worry about the cost of groceries, thus it's unlikely you have actually paid attention to the cost, which groceries are cheapest/best value. So it's hard to take that claim seriously.
You cited Trump as saying the stock Market is important, but you hate Trump.

And, no, living at your parents house is not technically homeless. Technically homeless is living in a refrigerator box on the sidewalk like gazillions in California do according to Faux Newz and MAGA TweeterzX.

Guess that's a couple of notches off on ye olde "street struggle cred" club meter.

$8 for a half gallon of ice cream. Where the ef are you shopping, whole foods? The deluxe brand at food for less is usually on sale for $3.99, it's only 4.99 when not on sale. Even the Bryers never goes over 5.99.
And yes, I've Always been one bad month away from homelessness. Thats what living paycheck to paycheck is. There were a few months a ways back (maybe it was 2016, don't remember exactly, and I'm not going to take the time to look it up) that I was technically homeless, but I stayed in my parents garrage, so I wasn't unhoused.
I don't hate Trump, I don't love him either. The point is the media is claiming economic collapse and liberals are screaming it, but anyone actually in the weeds can tell you it's just business as usual. Most basic groceries a better in price right now. I believe my personal experiences over the medias screaming irrational panic attacks.
And if tariffs mean we can't afford unethically made Chinese crap, that's probably for the best.

I bet you've never had to take public transportation.

Mister softee? Dunking donuts?
You seriously have no struggle cred dude.
Make coffee at home (if you're actually struggling) or recognize the latte as the luxury it is.
Milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard, but are not something you buy if you're struggling.

Now, I'm in California, not the bronx, so it's possible that local circumstances (not the economy as a whole) are affecting your prices. It also could be that name brand luxury foods have a more devoted clientele and are less susceptible to market changes.

You clearly have comprehension issues, I don't go to dunkin. That's apparently your bad habit. I make coffee at home. I don't have a car, I use my legs pretty regularly and take the bus. I don't live in LA, but I will decline specifying what part of California I am in.
FYI, though, LA is expensive because of housing costs, not grocery cost.

Fact check: Inflation was caused primarily due to the COVID 19 pandemic that caused worldwide lockdowns, culture wars about things such as CRT were primarily started by Republicans, although making it political is inherently flawed

Donald Trump was president at the start of COVID, Biden became president in the middle

Donald J Trump became president after defeating Kamala Harris

77,302,580 to 75,017,613

A close race

The global market saw major panic on April 2nd, due to tarrifs that were wide spread and over reaching

The economy has somewhat recovered due to the pause on most tarrifs

The US economy has been projected to go down in Q1

Then why are companies investing billions of dollars in the US’s economy..?
2 ups, 3mo
Fact check: What is always the cause of inflation? Just read a little history. Argentina, Venezuela. Zembawe, Weimer Germany! Sure, there are factors like energy and food scarcity, but the cause of inflation is known and has been known by scholars since the Roman Empire. Say it!

Inflation was caused by Biden shutting down U.S. Oil production and making us dependent on Foreign Oil again

By "shutting down" do you mean record high production?

Printing money to pay for deficit spending is almost always the cause of inflation. Look at the record deficit.

Trump didn't have a plan in 2016. I'm not sure he thought he would win. He didn't get much done. He sure as hell has a plan this time.
