So let's talk meritocracy; if you've been paying attention, you know there are quite a few members of Congress (mostly on the right) who, despite being born into their citizenship, spending their entire lives immersed in the English language, struggle, often fail to put together coherent sentences in interviews, congressional hearings, etc. If the ability to speak the common tongue is held as a hard line demarcation between viability/inviability relative fitness to serve, should those people be in office?
