I have an idea. Every year the richest man in the country gets his head sliced off unless he redistributes his wealth. This will scare rich people into redistributing their wealth. This will go on until there is no more homeless people in the US.

Lock & Load negates that scenario after the 1st couple get beheaded.
I would work for them if they felt queasy about that.

Homeless people are homeless due to substance abuse and/or choice.

How about we slice off the poorest man's head in the country until the rest of the leeches start to contribute to society? This will scare the trash into going to work and getting an education, this will go on until everyone is educated and working in America.

But most poor people are educated and working, some can't get jobs. It's hard to control being poor.
0 ups, 2d,

oh well, they need to try harder - most poor are uneducated and reproduce way too early, so they make more poor, they are a self reproducing problem.

then they should be terminated, using your own logic.. people that have no worth should be executed according to you. Now worth is a matter of interpretation, I think people that produce jobs and pay the most into our society have more worth than those that simply consume and consume. See how your logic cna be used against you when you say radical things like so and so should be killed ? Its ridiculous, like regular said.

Human lives have inherent value. Unless you are greedy or do horrible wrongs
0 ups, 1d,

but you equate "greed" to "wealth", people have worked very hard to have wealth for many reasons, not just greed. If all lives have inherent value , then people that have wealth have the same value.. and if that is the case.. maybe you want to delete the comment about executing people, or else you are going to be a hypocrite. As you know, none on earth has less value than a hypocrite.

I said inherent value. That value can be lost to being an evil billionaire.
0 ups, 1d
You never mentioned "evil" or even "billionaires" in your comment, you said "richest men"
You don't take anything other than your own bias into consideration, there are men with money that has done incredibly generous acts, you lump anyone with money into this little box you call "evil" and honestly .. you don't even know what evil is outside of stories and tv.

What taxes do you assert the "1%" do not pay?

What taxes do you assert the "1%" do not pay?

If you cannot answer that in a sentence of two I will have to continue to think that you know nothing about taxation.

Your chart disproves you.

You still haven't answered - what taxes do you assert the "1%" does not pay

I never said that
You putting words in my mouth
They paying less proportional to their total money.
And that's not fair,
Also "your chart disproves you"
The chart does not
As I said the richest not paying what they should
And by what they should I mean what would be fair.
Just watch the video
And you can disagree with everything but that's my source.
And it would be fair to scrutinize it but extra info in a short video that you can just watch

I will NOT watch the video.

If it IS about taxation, your lack of knowledge demonstrates that the video has no educational value.

Your desperate desire for your designated video to be viewed is highly suspect.

Learn about taxation so you can speak about taxation without relying on what you heard from somebody somewhere or a video to do your talking for you.

FACT: Rick folks pay hella taxes because rick folks generate hella money and rich folk employ hella people.

Poor folk pay not much taxes because poor folks generate not much money and poor folks employ no people.

I don't hear any of you complaining that rich folks do not get those "big tv checks" from the IRS every year like poor folks get and squander in a matter of days.

Poor folks consume.

Rich folks invest.

You’re right, the “rich” don’t pay what they should.
Everyone should pay an equal percentage of their income - whether it be from working or welfare. But our graduated tax system forces the wealthy to pay the highest percentage of their income while the poorest pay the least.
0 ups, 1d
Yea.
This is called progressive taxation although it's nut exactly carried out how you expect

Since you seem to have an issue with the graph being 7 years old , here is one from 2021, the site is "federal budget in pictures. co Again this shows that the the top 1 -5% pay far more money into the systems than all the poor combined.

firstly-thankyou for a more recent graph
second-it seems to be only federal income taxes, does it include:
payroll taxes
estate taxes
cooperate taxes
property taxes
consumption taxes
and btw
I am left/left leaning
thankyou for going and find a more up to date version thought, still nice of you to do. :D
btw once about past $130'000 that money is not subject to social security tax, although this point specifallty the limit is ehhhh
and once again thanks for going to the effort of getting updated graph
1 up, 1d
If the left is concerned about other (non federal) taxes, why do they only complain when a Republican president gives “tax breaks to the rich”?
I never hear the left complain about state and local taxes even through states like CA have the highest taxes, including consumption taxes, in the nation.
0 ups, 1d
Also according to property taxes, high end areas have higher property taxes, So in reality poor people live in poor areas with lower property taxes, the wealthy pay 100K of thousands of dollars into property taxes a year depending on where they live, also how many properties they own.
0 ups, 1d
No worries, I try to stand by my arguments , and if someone has a legitimate issue with it ( such as an out of date graph) i'll do my best to support my point with a more recent link or graph. My point is the left continues to say "the rich don't pay taxes" but they do, they pay more into the system than all the poor combined. If not for the rich our country would fall into disrepair. We would literally be a 3rd world nation , our entire society would be dependent on government handouts, taxation would be 100x higher also.

The reason a billionaire pays less in income tax is that their income is not generally wage income. Their income is largely dividends from the stocks they own, interest from what they have in the bank etc. This allows them to be taxed at the capital gains rate, which is lower because of the higher risks involved. Moreover, it’s money from investing previous income that was taxed at the personal income tax rates already. So even with their personal income tax burden being less, they still are paying more.

All that shows is rich folk are not as big of a consumer as poor folk.

Be advised - every payroll tax dollar deducted from your check is required by law to be matched by your employer and submitted to the government.

The posted chart disproves your premise.
