Gun Control is the initial steps of confiscation, Althought confiscation is only supported by far left advocates, many with in the democratic party, it is way easier to just make it too expensive for every day people to arm theirself than to confiscate. For example, In Chicago, I had to pay over 1500 dollars, take an 18 hour safety class, and pass a background check by the state police that took 6 months to complete.. just to exercise my Constitutionally protected right of self defense. Trust me when I tell you, we feel the exact same way about the democrat leadership, and the need to arm ourselves against them. The difference is , Trump's administration won't try to ban you from getting firearms.

If he is old enough to sign up to die in the military, he is old enough to get a fire arm. As long as he is not a felon, or clinically insane , you really don't have any say in what he can or can not do. His rights don't end where your feelings begin.

Like I said, if someone is old enough to die for the country , they are old enough to own a firearm. You don't have a right to demand shit, my dude. My solutions are societal and you won't like them because they involve peesonal accountability. For starters: Change culture so that parents feel obligated to raise moral children, and feel responsible for their upbringing. That's gonna go a long way in resolving a lot of different issues.
