Take a step back for a second and think about what you posted here.
In capitalism individuals own the means of production and workers own their work by receiving wages.
In communism by contrast the community owns the means of production collectively and what you earn goes into a common pool for everyone to draw from. That means in communism you don’t own your work: the community does.

A person must decide what they get in work. Then they own their work
You're free to build you own means on creation and the materials to create yourself.
Instead of doing that, you could contract service for money => work for a wage.
Or learn out to literally live off the land. . .I wouldn't try that north of the Mason/DIxson line though. Our Winters can be literal killers for even the hardiest of people.
