Now let’s see how much of that is gained by investing based on information that isn’t widely available to the public.

That will take a bit of detective work on your part. Go through their financial disclosers. Look at the stocks they buy/sell and any income they make from it. Then match it against the stock pricing before and after. Especially if they're on a sub committee that oversees the market that stock is in.

But also good news, there are sites that do that for you! Like this one with Representative MTG as an example: https://www.quiverquant.com/congresstrading/politician/Marjorie%20Taylor%20Greene-G000596

She's worth $22 million just a few short years after taking office.

And there's literally no oversight, so there's literally nothing stopping them from lying on the disclosure, just like AOC did.

If only you took the time to look up facts instead of going with what you think is true.

Congress created the Office of Congressional Ethics. An non-partisan office that investigates complaints against Representatives. If there is something to the complaints, it is then recommended to the Ethics Committee.

The Ethics Committee has a long history of holding members of Congress accountable.

Here's a wikipedia article to get you started: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Congressional_Ethics
