The blue cities (and it is cities) would starve without the food the red areas grow. The bluies don't subsidize the red areas- the feds own so much of it and stick their noses into the rest

Without the tobacco and cotton they grow?
Food is grown in all states.
How much food does California alone grow?

Agriculture is heavily subsidized in the USA because, you know, the Dust Bowl.
Check out what produce costs elsewhere on the planet. They're significantly higher than they are in America. That's why 2/3 are overweight.

Red States are taker States. Blue State subsidize them, primarily five. There are occasional blips due to an oil boom or like in Texas or South Dakota, but otherwise all those states are on welfare.

Food is grown in red areas of blue states, even in California

Wha?

Food is grown wherever this arable land, and even if not, such as in California. People are even growing it on rooftops in cities.

It's not that food is grown only in "Red areas," it's that that's the only economy they have, other than the Walmart. Literally. And as referred to above, the only reason those people aren't living in Third World conditions like they did for centuries up into the Dust Bowl is because FDR started throwing at them and those programs continue to this very day. Otherwise food would be much more expensive than even in today's inflation harshed economy, and those people would still be dirt poor.

My gosh.

So wrong on so much. Red areas make their living mostly in jobs that require not just muscles but knowing how to use those muscles efficiently. Power production, extraction, food growth in a macro way, tourism, so many things that are beyond the ability of those techies and money changers in the cities. If the second Civil War the left is pushing happens the red areas have stuff the bluies need, and they will use that leverage to win concessions.

Second Civil War? Between whom? Over what? Where, at a paint ball gun rally?
Will it last much longer than the one on January 6th, 2021 did? Or will the gallant gaggle of (almost) goosestepping Brownshirts of Trump still have to get home to the trailer park in time to supply their gelatinous asses with their early evening dose of Hot Pockets and Mountain Dew?

Muscle? The illegals Red Staters officially hate so much that just so happen to be their farm laborers are going to fight a war for them against something something imaginary because of whatever something else imaginary? Really?

You're confusing what is the major sector of the economy in so-called Red States with that making them the major sector of such activity in the United States.

They lost an actual real civil war a century and a half ago back when war meant something other than Fallout 4 on the Xbox. Highly doubtful they'll do anything much less embarrassing in this war with nobody over some old geezer who will be dead of old age long before any such war could conclude if such a thing was to actually happen beyond the dreams of some high school kids with nothing better to do than shoot up the local grammar school 2 years after graduation.

Pfffft, that’s an old debunked claim. It does not account for federal bailouts of blue cities and states. It also ignores that the federal government runs a deficit so most all states receive more than they pay to the federal government.

Correct.
The perennial top 5 donor states that support the rest of the United States are:

New York
New Jersey
Massachusetts
California
Connecticut

Now it’s true that the average taxpayer in blue states pays a higher per capita income tax than the average taxpayer in red states. But that’s because those states — particularly Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and California — have more rich people. Don’t the Democrats want the rich paying their fair share?

As for blue states allegedly getting back less, what numbers are they looking at? It is true that red states receive 35.75 percent on average of their budgets from the federal government, while blue states receive 30.80 percent. But this is because the blue states’ budgets are far larger due to all the bloat and waste. The 10 states in the best fiscal condition are almost all red states. The 10 states with the worst numbers in the red are almost all blue states.

The higher the taxes, the more mismanaged a state is. CNBC examined the infrastructure of every state — roads, airports, water systems and ports — and found that the places with the worst-rated infrastructure are six Democratic states, which also rank among the highest in taxes collected per resident: Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

You forgot to add the quotation marks to your article excerpts

So what I said then, except your copypaste says it's the Blue States fault for having infrastructure in a greater state of disrepair despite having proportionately smaller budgets to repair systems that are used by a significantly higher number of people than in Red States which they wouldn't have if they were simply more thrifty? Who needs to repair potholes in highways made in winter in Northern states when you got miles of road to lay between distant neighbors in tumbleweed States?

Never expected states with smaller budgets relative to population size to have smaller budgets to take care of their needs.

No matter which way your c/p cuts it, getting less money back for every $ put in is getting less money back for every $ put in, and getting more money back for every $ put in is getting more money back for every $ put in because math.

No matter how you try to portray it federal bailouts of blue states tilts the equation and ignoring it is dishonest. Including those bailout dollars makes an irrefutable difference.

Perhaps repeatedly squawking lies will make up for the dishonesty and skewing of facts in the leftist narrative.
