1. I think they overestimated how effective their lawfare would be.
2. I think they underestimated the support Trump would keep in spite of the lawfare
3. They didn’t plan on Biden going downhill so fast.
4. The puppet masters are in a state of panic and will make mistakes.
5. The ends justifies the means to them, so Biden will stay on the ballot as long as possible through the election.

Yes. As I am quick to tell people, my life experiences and the bitter lessons of history have transformed me into a political cynic. I definitely tend to embrace the worst-case scenario among any range of possibilities; and thus I am inclined to agree with you.

On the other hand whenever I am proved wrong I am always delightfully surprised and happy; and so I have that going for me. :)
