It simply doesn't work. In theory, socialism works by buying and contributing in bulk. The problems are that office oversight, human error, and violation off set those savings. If socialism worked, large cities such as NY, chi, la, etc.... would be dirt cheap to live in.

NYC is the Capitalism capital of the world, the economic engine for the whole planet. LA isn't exactly too far behind. And Chicago, despite its image, still has greater economic output than the rest of the state as well as those surrounding it. For a reason. That's what cities are, Capitalism in action.

Socialism-ish social welfare is when companies are offered tax incentives and subsidies by the Federal Government to pack up and leave those cities and transport themselves South or Southwest in order to boost the dead end economies of those States.

Modda, that is delusional. Large West Coast and Northern cities are dying because they are very poorly run. Crime, high taxes, failing schools, crazy regulations, DEI BS, homelessness, and open drug use. I have met tons of CA refugees in Wilmington, NC. They all say the same thing.

True. The problem is America is far less a free market than it used to be. It's gone from free market capitalism to corporate capitalism, a problem greatly exacerbated by the plandemic forcing most small businesses to close.
