He falsely believed there were "fine people on both sides" there. And he denounced white supremacists and neo-nazis.... but the white supremacists and neo-nazis were the ones on the right who organized, led, and attended the "Unite the Right" event.

This isn't Snopes fixing their mistake after 7 YEARS... They never admit a lie unless there is a notice for it...

In 2020 Biden said he got into the race because Trump called Neo Nazi's very fine people.

Jake Tapper is on tape saying that Trump wasn't calling the Neo Nazi's very fine people.

So Snopes is basically warning the Biden camp not to bring up Charlottesville during the debate because Tapper will have no choice but to correct Biden. Tapper himself has called that out as a lie.

They don't want that to happen in front of millions of people. So they're trying to protect Biden.
