Not that you or anyone else here would care but............

That $600 threshold mentioned in your OP meme was actually scrapped.

It was raised to over $10,000 in annual transactions above and beyond your total annual salary, unemployment $, or social security $.

Also while we're at it... the "new 87,000 IRS agents" narrative someone else here mentioned is also more or less fake news.

My understanding is that figure's based on funding which will be provided over the span of a decade..... it's not clear if it will even be used solely for hiring.... and if it is used for hiring could include many people doing something as mundane as answering phone calls from Jon Q Taxpayer. Only 1 in 8 phone calls to the IRS were even able to be answered in 2022.

And apparently the amount of IRS employees has been dwindling down for quite a while now.

"IRS staffing has shrunk to 1970s levels..... the IRS would need to hire 52,000 people over the next six years just to maintain current staffing levels to replace those who retire or will otherwise leave."

PERHAPS THE IRS NEEDS
TO KILL TAX CHEATS | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
No, most of those on this stream are blatantly patriotic. We don't like it when the scumbags in Washington try to pull off stunts like that. There are only a few good guys up there I can think of none who care about We the People who are Democrats and only a few Republicans. If they could the Scum would tax windfalls from Flea Markets transactions for their nefarious intentions.

Gangsters, mobsters... Sometimes they f around with taxes... & they often have guns. If the IRS is unarmed idk how they're going to convince anyone to get into a squad car. Unarmed dwindling numbers of IRS agents would probably be exactly what organized crime wants. [Think defunded police.]

Blatantly patriotic... Ok cool. I'm patriotic too. Ever since we said f*ck you to the Brits, taxes are essential to our government, veterans programs, programs for the poor, infrastructure, etc. And Republicans talk about lower taxes to benefit the poor and middle class but when given the chance, they only lowered taxes "permanently" for the rich.....most of which did not "trickle down" to "We the People"... it went into stock buybacks.

...Which is cool for people invested and the "scumbags" in Washington.. but for the poor maybe not so much. Ironically enough at the same time they cut taxes they looked for ways to cut benefits for the poor. So ya idk which repubs you think are looking out for the little guy but I'm skeptical.

KInda funny having some be so obsessively argumentative as to defend the IRS. Hilarious. Good Luck over there in Elsewhereville... But before you lock the door on your condo realize that armed IRS agents have the power to extort peaceable people at gunpoint for merely being productive. Plus, the intended byproduct is the large scale amount of arms they purchase is a form hoarding designed to dry up the market and further limit public access.

And on the flip side.....

"I ❤️ the police.
Gee I hope I get arrested!"

But idk... maybe you're not as rah rah about law and order as others on the right are or claim to be... idk.

"intended... to dry up the market (of guns) and further limit public access."

Thanks. Up vote back at you. I like that cartoon. The funny thing about the cartoon is, seeing that I am mostly Scottish by ancestry, and, on occasion, I wear a kilt, the question I always get asked is if I am wearing underwear or not.

I think the whole purpose of the Lian Neeson movie about Rob Roy was to show Mel Gibson how the kilt was worn and what time period the Scots started wearing kilts. They didn't wear kilts in the days of William Wallace. They started about 100 or so years before Rob Roy and about 300 years after William Wallace. Uh oh.... too many useless bits of trivia is coming out of my head. I'll stop now.

BTW I think you are pretty cool also.

Thanks. I kept racking my brain for a name when I changed it from DementiaJoeHasGottaGo. Hopefully Dementia Joe won't be re-installed... oops did I say that out loud. I meant to say "re-installed" as president. And if isn't allowed to cheat his way back in then my old name would be obsolete. So I just thought about Adam Smith and how he was a major economic influence on our founding fathers and that's how I came up with this name.

Too cool! They were so wise. That's the part the constitution tramplers don't understand. (I remember when you were Dementia Joe has to go.

What America needs is open books on all elected officials banking and investment accounts.

The SEC to do a forensic accounting of all elected officials investments chronologically with spending votes.

Besides Donald Trump who doesn't need the money and donated all of his salary back to America, I only really trust about 10 or so politicians in Washington DC: Ted Cruz (TX), John Neely Kennedy (LA), that Baseball Player that's going against Adam Schiffless (CA), George Washington (VA), Abe Lincoln (IL), Benjamin Franklin (MA), Ronald Reagan (CA), Teddy Roosevelt (NY), Andrew Jackson (TN), most of the rest are dfirt, filthy rotten F—king politicians. Upvote for you!
