One reason we need budgets like the Constitution requires and not 'continuing resolutions'. The CRs allow the funding to continue without debate.

Depends what Christians you're talking about it to. For example - I being a registered Democrat who has voted Democrat and Republican.... I like to think that science and religion tell two sides of the same story.

Dinosaurs existed during the Formation of the Earth, which took 7 days of "God" time. What is 7 days to a infinite being? Well it could easily be millions of years of Earth time. Our time is determined by the revolution of the earth around the sun - and then also how long the earth takes a full 360 degree turn.

Were God from anywhere - it would be the center of the universe where revolution doesn't occur as fast as our revolutions do- where 7 days of God Time passes, but way out in our area of the universe, millions of our time worth of years occurred.

Evolution? The process of a God being making a person from scratch. In what perceive as hundreds and hundreds of thousands of years, is but a days work to the God being.

Science and Religion don't have to fight over who is right when the actuality is that both are right. Even if both sides can't see how they get certain things wrong and think the other side isn't getting it right.

Honestly the whole 'planet age' thing feels like hubris. It's either one extreme or another just to spite the other side of the debate. Honestly, we can't know for sure what the actual age of the planet is. The planet has been through a lot whether natural or God or even yes, man once in a while(excess pollution). Contrary to what the pictures show, the planet is 'not neatly layered' like a cake. There's been so much raising and lowering of land masses throughout the centuries which also make determining the planet's age difficult.

One day of the creation event is a literal day according to the Hebrew wording and what it means in English. The issue once again is not knowing when it happened. There are signs and evidence of really old human villages and cities dating back 11,000+ years. So if creation happened sometime before that then it means the 6000 year old planet theory is wrong. At the same time it also throws doubt into the 5 billion number.

The problem with the entire day aspect of that hebrew script is that it would have been written when man first started observing time, according to our solar position and rotation of the earth.

The writers were given the words via Devine whatever that told them to write it down. Which means man was well formed and aged and evolved - but still incredulously stupid compared to today's standards.

If man indeed receive that word from holy beings - how would you tell them it took millions of years to make everything and not break their brains? You'd give them a visual representation they could understand in their primitive understanding of time. In "days" is something they could understand - millions of years and genetic tinkering? Prolly not so much.

The "writers" were given a story that was already old when the pyramids were new.

It gets better, in the original story, guess which God was the good God and which was the bad God? Well, the same ones. The jealous wrathful God had a fit and cast everyone out of Paradise and the world has been ruled by evil ever since. Hence the suffering. None of that hippie dippy love bs. No time for cutesy fluff back then.

Oh, and a day was a day no matter which language it was in. That notion that the GodS took billions of years to create a little bubble was never said and for a reason.

Adam and Eve weren't created stupid. They had functioning brains. They had a choice. God didn't have a 'fit'. God had one Rule and it was broken. Also God had to pull the Tree of Life 'cause if Adam and Eve ate from that Tree with their sin nature. . .this planet would have become a true Hell on Earth.

You also left out Jesus Christ. Of course the haters do tend to do that.

"Bible - 300 prophecies fulfilled by Jesus Christ."

0 prophecies fulfilled by Jesus Christ.

He didn't even return as per his parting promise to his Apostles, never mind ever do anything even remotely resembling messianic. Well, other than getting arrested for sedition. He didn't even succeed getting past a mild attempt. Well, other than killing a Roman soldier - oh, wait, that was the OTHER Jesus, the one who got his sentence commuted - Barabbas *wink*

"Quran - Word written by a man.
Bible - Word Became Flesh."

Quran - Word written by a man.
Bible - Word written by several men.

"Bible - Word Became Flesh."

Word made Flesh sounds cute, means nothing.

Actually they were supposed to be. The Serpent God gifted them knowledge by introducing them to the tree from whence the GodS got theirs. That's their sin. Knowledge.

Correct, Jesus wasn't in Genesis. He's not even in the Torah. He is found only in the pagan anti-christ Roman addition/corruption we call the New Testament. And yes, it was his Roman haters that wrote and added that corruption. Pretty smart, actually. If you can't totally beat them, make them join you. Saul/Paul - if he actually existed, was one brilliant anti christ.

There is a reason that the existance of God is not testable or derterminable by us, According to the lore God is outside time, space, and matter because he created it, so that being the case, how could we, a species that have not even explored our own oceans floors fully, be able to explain, prove or disprove, something like that? Asking for proof of God , outside of faith or personal experiences, is literally asking for something impossible.

well, there is a realistic chance that there is intelligent design behind the universe. Infact, it is theorized by the complexity according minds much greater than our own, that it is far more likely that it is intelligent design then simply happenstance.

Its fine to bash science but at the same time , science is mankinds best effort to try and understand the world around us. It is human Ego that is really problematic, it is ego that causes someone to deny without proof, of something greater than themself. That admission would diminish the individual and injure the ego.

So really this entire discussion is moot because neither side can submit any kind of proof or disproof of God, it is completely a matter of belief.
2 ups, 12mo,

By the same token - if he can't be proven to not be real why not believe? Faith is actually a more reliable way to truth than our methods of truth. Our truth can be skewed and misrepresented for personal gain. Truth based on a Faith can't be muddied - because it's a God based item where his understanding is beyond our grasp.
