True. The USSR may no longer exist, but the biggest piece of it, Russia, is still a huge danger to Europe. The "Cold War" isn't over by a long shot.

Did the expansion of NATO force Putin's hand? Some say that was the cause of the Ukraine invasion. I think it was at least a factor. I don't have all the answers, but I don't think NATO has any of the answers.

When you start world wars that you can't win, bad stuff happens to you. Germany did it twice. Now they're on the right side. NATO was the best thing that could have happened to them and the rest of Western Europe.
