Just think, if the climate did not change on its own, New York City would be covered with 15,000 feet of ice.

Name 5 species that are extinct due solely to changes in climate.

Bramble cay melomys, golden toad, pints island tortoise, pouwa, dusky seaside sparrow

How did climate change kill these animals to the point of extinction?
0 ups, 8mo,

In order: rising sea levels, drying habitats, habitat loss and food + water scarcity, rising sea levels + habitat loss, habitat loss

False, false, false, false, false.

The first lived on an island in the middle of the ocean that was only 10 feet high at it's highest point. Storm waves/surges over the years seem more likely.

Two of those animals were hunted to extinction.

Another pesticides, "pollution".

The frog - the temperature increased in the one and only place it lived and that allegedly gave rise to an illness - parasite, fungus, bacteria - I can't remember.

Habitat loss is not caused by "climate change" and not always by human action.

Where’s your source that habitat loss is not caused by climate change? You need sources when you say stupid unsubstantiated things.
1 up, 8mo
Calling another's opinion "stupid" isn't a good thing in a conversation. It doesn't give your point of view additional merit.

I haven't seen an example that is man made habitat loss, other than what most people consider nature and also deforestation.

Volcanic eruptions, glacier formations, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, forest fires, etc., cause loss of habitat.

These are not manmade.

What man made climate change is responsible for 99.9% of plant and animal species that ever existed being extinct today?

The vast majority died out long before industrialization.

No thanks.

Others may, but I do not accept links as argument in debate.

Say what you have to say in your own words or at least post your material.

Why won’t you read it 💀

Also, that shows invasive species killing native species, which is also a huge cause of extinction and climate change. Also I can’t find that guy who wrote the article literally anywhere

You didn't look.

On behalf of the birds, the frogs, and the mice, let's cut to what is the most important question:

What are YOU doing to stop climate change?

Human influence is very little, considering a single active volcanoe can do more climate change in one day than humans in 2000 years. About Earth getting hotter, that's right. Our primary source of heat is the Sun, which is getting hotter and brighter as it gets older. So it is only logical that the planet is getting hotter, specially when the Moon, who keeps the Earth's axis in place for our atmosphere and is responsible for the waves, is moving away from the Earth about half a centimeter per year. That movement of the Moon started from the begining.

You are being way misleading. Carbon emissions from the burning of fossil fuels have been cited as the prevailing cause of global warming, per the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The UN agrees.

The solar radiation you're referring to occurs on a much longer timescale, and is a slow gradual process in solar evolution. We are noticing the average surface temperature rise at an accelerated rate, which further suggests this is the result of increasing greenhouse gas emissions like carbon from fossil fuels, not the slow increased heating from the sun.

Fauscovai responded intellectually and rationally as he understands the issue at hand. Unfortunately, it fell on deaf ears for you and AN0NYM0US (named himself that for a reason).

You think that you have more control and clout than Mother Nature? You think that throwing ridiculous amounts of $$$ (in America only, btw) could possibly change our climate or the sun or our future? And you probably wonder where the words "useful idiots" originated....SMH.

You’re obviously grossly uneducated about the topic and have no interest in educating yourself, so I don’t really care what you consider to be an “intellectual” comment. Everything I said is correct. There is scientific consensus that humans are contributing to climate change. Expert researchers agree that carbon emissions are the leading contributor to climate change.
You’re just paraphrasing comedian George Carlin and trying to come off as intelligent. It’s just sad.

Well, lets see the results. What positive thing has come up from giving tons of money to doom day alarmists (who now are call climate activists)? Name me one thing besides missing money in your bank account.

The state refuses to act most of the time, but they did save the depletion of the ozone layer by agreeing to reduce production of CFCs.
2 ups, 8mo
so we been giving them millions, and they done shit. Thank you. Don't give them money and you will get the same results, but may have a bigger bank account at least.

The largest ozone holes ever have been discovered in the last 5 years.

Why is that?
0 ups, 8mo,
1 reply
Still smaller than holes measured in the late 90s and early 2000s. The recent large hole was due to a colder than normal southern hemisphere winter
1 up, 8mo
20 years AFTER CFCs were banned is when the largest holes opened up?. Evidently was not CFCs causation.

The most recent massive holes in the ozone layer caused by COOLER than normal temperatures?

And these colder temperatures are caused by global warming?

Ah, yes, it has been switched to climate change because the whole warming thing wasn't working out.

I like to ask this question of climate alarmists - what are YOU doing about it...besides spreading the word?

Go ahead, produce your own source. I bet it’s some quack who is in no way an expert in climate change research.

“Of course, this is not what he was saying. These quotes are taken out of context to be misused. The devaluation of fossil fuel reserves of course leads in a way to wealth redistribution — but this is rather a consequence of the necessity to stop using fossil fuels, and not the actual goal of climate policy.“ — Endenhofer’s spokesperson
The original quote was a poor German to English translation.

Yes yes, afterwards everything is always somehow taken out of context and they apologize for things that they apparently didn't say that way. And then his spokesman, really? The spokesman behaves like all bootlickers behave: "I sing the song, from whom I get my bread" I read the interview in German and, oh shock, he said it exactly that way. Bad translation my ass. And that's exactly how he meant it, this German gas tap. And if you want to get rid of fossil fuels, then please immediately turn off all your electronic devices, take off your clothes, leave your apartment and go to the forest to live. Please don't get your food and drinks in the store, but feed yourself from what nature offers you in the forest, and please fire without aids, right. That is your life without fossil fuels... Babbler

You still have failed to provide a single source contradicting my claims about climate change.
We can produce and maintain all of those things with clean energy and at the very least reduce burning of fossil fuels if not completely stop it.

Who are you referring to when you say we?

you can't prove an accelerated increase, and it has been a steady slow increase. Here is an ice cream for you to eat so that you can stay cool. What's the hottest Earth's ever been?
The current official highest registered air temperature on Earth is 56.7 °C (134.1 °F), recorded on 10 July 1913 at Furnace Creek Ranch, in Death Valley in the United States.

1.8°f average positive temperature anomaly above baseline of zero over the last 80 years.

Tell me, what is the meaning of the 1880 - 1940 negative degrees temperature anomaly?
