It’s about defending yourself from multiple armed suspects be they rioters, looters or tyrannical government agents. Rooftop Koreans’ businesses didn’t get burned and armed citizens didn’t get beaten to death. Armed black men were less likely to be lynched. It’s about defending yourself, your family and freedom.

It is absolutely about resisting tyranny. It’s what the whole thing is about. The Declaration of Independence states that government is derives its power from the governed. Therefore it is vital that the people retain means of revolt.

Point to the part of the 2nd Amendment that mentions deposing the elected government with guns.

'Cause I see a part about forming a militia, a part about defending a free country, and owning a gun.

As I said, It’s in the Declaration of Independence.

First amendment gives people the right to tell government - "Get lost!" Second amendment give people the right to tell government - "Don't even think about it!"

Ah, no.

The First Amendment makes it so the government can't jail you for saying "Get Lost."

And the 2nd is all about forming a militia to defend the country and owning a gun.

How is defending a country also destroying the government?

Nope.

If the 2 sections of the 2nd amendment are actually independent of each other (thus you can own any gun you want for any reason) the defense part must also act independently. Thus forming a militia to defend the country has nothing to do with owning a gun.

But if you feel that the 2 clauses must be viewed together, please explain how forming a militia to overthrow a government is defending that same government.

It’s about tyranny and securing the means to revolt to the people. Governments are granted powers with the consent of the governed. When the governed no longer grant that power of government it is their duty to change such government.
