That's pretty laughable.
But let's go to the source of his opinions: https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-funded-scientist-among-three-chinese-researchers-who-fell-ill-amid-early-covid-19-outbreak-3f919567
And it's the same information we had in February.
Which was Low Confidence. (low confidence has a specific meaning in intel work. It means roughly 'yeah, we think it might be that but we have no concrete evidence and our sources are super sketch')
I have to say, this is one of the most deceptively written paragraphs I've seen in a while:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has assessed with moderate confidence that a lab leak was the most likely origin of the virus and the Energy Department came to a similar conclusion with low confidence. Four other U.S. intelligence agencies assess with low confidence that the virus arose naturally, while the Central Intelligence Agency has been agnostic.
The way they write it, it seems that the other Four don't think it was natural and implies they think it was a lab leak.
Except they don't.
They have Low Confidence it was Natural and No Confidence it was a lab leak.
So, yeah, still not Proven.
And given how secretive China is, and how they destroyed any evidence of it in the early days, we will never know.
