Why would anyone do this?

My dad does this all the time! It’s so annoying because I primarily use the clock on the microwave!

This makes me cry

The microwave will soon say NO then because it’s tired

My family does this a lot, except they leave it for over a minute. Then I start to wonder for a few seconds why the time is always 1:24 on the microwave.

Because they want to cook at snack at night while their parents are asleep, and so they stop the microwave at 1 second so it won't beep

I stop the microwave when it hits 1 to avoid the annoying beeping but then I hit “clear”

I'm being honest, that 1 second is 1 second earlier to eating your food.

Taking the time to press several buttons to start the microwave, vs. pressing just one button to clear the timer...It just doesn't add up.

In class after I microwaved my food I would put one second on the microwave and press start and wait for the beeping to stop. So that in the middle of class the microwave would start beeping again and interrupt the lesson.
