Finding a couple hundred more votes for Hamadeh in an audit does not justify the need to further audits if Mayes still maintains the lead. The claim they stopped counting at 2% is false. They chose a sample in a relevant country where the votes were actually close, and verified Mayes victory.
As for signature verification, the increased scrutiny that Hamadeh and Lake supported turned out to actually be a boon to his oppositional candidates, including Mayes, as it allegedly lead to thousands of Republican votes to be disqualified for inconsistent or missing signatures; which Hayes is now trying to contest.
Signature verification is not a reliable form of ballot scrutiny. Hardly anyone has a consistent personal signature these days. If Lake and her cronies, like Hamadeh had not pushed for more signature validation; it’s possible he may have won.
But in the end, they played themselves.
