Wrong century? Which century are you referring to?There have been slaves of every ethnicity and skin color since the dawn of man.
Free the slaves?
Everybody that has a job is a slave. The paradigm shifted. Instead of forced labor in exchange for room and board the individual is given the illusion of being free by paying wages in exchange for labor. But the wages are clawed back through taxation, rent, utility bills, grocery costs, prescription medicines, etc.
Credit debt is designed, assisted by clever marketing, to keep the rat on the wheel until the rat (you) dies.
The individual enslaves himself.
The difference in this form of slavery is you can take a vacation from your labor for a week or two without the the dogs being sicced on you.
American citizens don't want to do those jobs period. No country's citizens want those jobs. That's why they used conquered people as slaves to do them, purchased people to do them, indebt people to do them, imprison people to do them under the guise of penitence, since the dawn of man.
I venture to say that all the products everybody buys today, including liberals and BLM activists, was made by unpaid, forced into labor slaves somewhere in the production chain. Our cell phones, the clothes on our backs, foods we eat, even the illicit drugs we overdose on - slave trade made.
Blah blah blah...yada yada yada... point is even if you believe that you don't serve a human master you are a slave to the dollar in your pocket - which you probably owe to someone else.
Ukraine. Billions of dollars given. Why you think that is? Freedom? Just cause? I think no - indebtedness is the reason. The wheel keeps turning.
Apologies for writing a novel.
