It's not remotely close to segregation. Segregation is about sheer hate based on race. This is saying that there's a reason women's sports are for women, and men's sports are for men. It's not sexist, it's just setting a fine line. I could play with men and women in both genders' sports, but other than that, there is a reason they stay separate.

It's a question without substance. I've followed women's tennis for quite a while. And you are correct, V; we weren't in a situation where these sports needed strong, vocal shows of support until recently and this is due to exactly the reasons you have pointed out.

I have no problem with men's or women's sports, and now that I have that out of the way, I want to further clarify that men will be advantaged in women's sports and vice versa. Sports designed for both genders to play are fine, but if they were separated, there's no reason to fix it.

Blacks and whites were separated without good reason. We need each other as humans, and that's why segregation in the US is no longer a thing, and it's wonderful we changed it. The sports I was mentioning have a reason to not have men and women play together, and it's that they could be physically advantaged or disadvantaged. Take bowling, usually, men and women can play together and, for the most part, it will go well. Now take American football. It's very rough, and it's hard on both genders for a variety of different reasons. Unity because of differences is beautiful, but when that unity does not work whatsoever, then it's not unity, and it should stop trying to be one before something terrible happens.

“Race” (in regards to white people, black people, etc) is a social construct. Sex and gender (for the most part) is not. In terms of sports and athletic ability, gender is NOT a social construct.
