So is Trump a liar or not?
Just because the Trump fanatics in Washington, well the loudest ones anyway, are right that it’s a bad idea to cut social security in no way invalidates my argument that Republicans want to cut it.
It would be as ludicrous as a leftist claiming there are no Democrats that want to repeal the Second Amendment.
Trump’s warming completely invalidates the argument that no Republicans want to cut Social Security. These are the same people who promised for years they would never touch Roe v Wade. I believed them. I no longer believe them on Social Security. Why do you?
No one else is buying it. Roe v Wade repeal? Great! It’ll make billions happy…. Repealing Social Security? That will effect everyone. Not just women or rape victims.
What you call RINOs, establishment, etc are not infalliable. I’ve been saying that touching Social Security or labeling it socialism, or lying that it needs cutting or repealed is a losing position for years!
This is why I’m skeptical whenever anyone goes on and on about the evils of socialism and communism. Make no mistake, I agree those. ARE evil. Social Security and Medicaid is not socialism. They’re not entitlements. They’re CAPITALIST INVESTMENTS! We paid into them with OUR taxpayer money.
Anyone with a brain knows this. And it shows that the fringe Republicans DO lean left on occasion which is the main source of my criticism and frustration toward them. That and their general ignorance and incompetence. THATS why they have to now pretend Republicans don’t want this and pretend THEY are our last line of defense against establishment Republicans.
We saw how well that ended with McCarthy, yes? Standing up to them was just a fart in the wind.
If Trump or MTG knew how to keep HALF their promises AND actually knew how the Constitution works, I’d vote for them in a heartbeat.
But, to me, MTG is just a rightwing AOC. Just as Trump is a confused rightwing, but far more liberal, version of Biden.
True, I’d vote for Biden again over the two in a heartbeat, but Republicans both liberal and establishment need to start wising up. THIS is where they SHOULD listen to Trump! And use their accumulated influence and power to act.
But they won’t! They’ll repeal it. Trump will say he’ll fix it. And if ever sits in the Oval Office again, he’ll rage scream and yell but ultimately do nothing. Just like he successfully repealed but never replaced Obamacare.
