Wow, way to veer into the orange TDS ditch, Octavia!

So, you consider owning a casino to be something anyone could do successfully? It's really just that simple???

Whereas the geniuses running the democrat party, most of whom have *never* owned a business, could do much better, right?

Wow, you're naiveté seems off the charts when it comes to business.

Okay, so you've covered the revenue side of your business model with people lining up to throw money, but what about expenses? How would you handle those?

I'd love to go to a casino (any business, actually) that you'd run and see just how great of a job you'd do. I'm serious. You'd be great.

All of it. You have no real idea what you're talking about. Even this post is just your opinion, right? Unless you can document any/all of what you said as being true. I've thought that very same thing.

Bernie Sanders is a prime example. Sanders was so devoted to socialism that he refused to work because that, in his mind, supported capitalism. So he lived off of welfare and/or freeloaded off his friends. At some point he entered politics. Now he owns 3 mansions. He claims it's from book sales (which is capitalism). That's a lot of books to afford 3 mansions.

AOC got elected and couldn't even afford rent in Washington DC. I don't know what here net worth is currently but I'll bet she's not living in a cheap apartment anymore.

The great thing about Truman is that when he left office, he packed up his belongings in his car and drove from Washington DC to Independence, Missouri (right next to Kansas City, Mo). I don't know a lot about him and he may not have been an outstanding president, but at least he remained humble and I believe he was honest.

What does that have to do with what I was talking about? What does that have to do with reality? Sorry, but it's not a crime for a president to take home classified documents, as long as he is still the president. No one else in government has that right. And no one has found anything that would have compromised our national security because those weren't the kind of documents he took home.

In my opinion, I think he took home documents that would indict members of the Democrat Party and that's why the Dems are frantic. But that's just an opinion.

I don't make the rules, I'm just trying to inform you of the rules. Personally I don't thing anyone in government has the right to remove classified documents from the secure locations in the government. The only one who can is the president of the United States of America.

That means if a president is 1 minute away from the next president being sworn in he or she can remove any document from a secure location to their home.

That's why it is vitally important to keep America hating Democrats (like Biden) out of the White House.

What you have become a victim of is the media's misinformation campaign. You have been made to think that if Trump breathes air it is a criminal action.

Trump did a lot of things I vehemently disagreed with but rather than the Dems picking up on those things, they invented stuff that never happened and stuff he didn't do. One such event is when he ordered documents to be moved to his home.

I don't think any president should be able to do that because their home, most likely, doesn't have the security that the government does.

What I don't understand is how the Dems are all bent out of shape over Trump but give Hillary a complete pass. She was never in a position to remove classified documents from the government. Her home server was known to have been hacked once. And hacked is just what we were told. Hillary had no problem undermining this nation. She is the most corrupt politician I have ever heard of. Dems have been trying to down play that from the moment it was found out.

What Hillary did was a huge problem, what Trump did was not. Trump has bent over backwards to be forthright and compliant with all of the FBI's requests. Hillary was not the least bit compliant and destroyed the hard drives and denied and tried to mitigate the severity of it all.

Maybe Trump should tell the Dems, "At this point, what does it matter".

-Two years, $7 million, 800 pages later, GOP Benghazi report lands with a thud

After years of investigations, interviews, and hearings, the House special committee looking into the 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, released 800 pages of findings today.

The assault, which resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador, slams the Obama administration for lax security and a sluggish response, but it doesn't lay blame at then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's doorstep.

Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy, the panel's chairman, said Clinton, now the Democrats' presumptive presidential nominee, was never the focus of the inquiry.

No need to get snippy. I just read both articles that you posted. I'm not sure what you point was with the Chinese woman found in Mar-A-Lago with spy technology.

The other one was nothing by a beef with Trump's attorney because they haven't named anyone as custodian of the records to verify that all of the classified documents had been returned. I guess Trump's attorneys are shuffling papers fast enough.

The DOJ and the FBI, both, have gotten so horribly corrupt. They are the Democrat Party's Gestapo and SS. Their job is to harass Donald Trump to death.

The left is on number 394,753,843,972,347,398,345 to try to trump up something, anything, against Trump (and yes, I used the words "trump up" on purpose because it was funny). If Trump was guilty of a crime he would have been already arrested, tried and convicted. Why do I say that? Because unlike every other politician that has ever served in any office, you guys are all up in his butt, nonstop. Looking for anything.

Your Jan 6th committee was a great big nothing burger. Well.... Every single attempt you guys could think up or fabricate has all been a big nothing burger. Here's the thing.

If Trump was actually guilty of some crime then I would stand 100% with you on convicting him. You guys can't even invent anything that will stick. The best you could do is to get a Democratic controlled House to fabricate 2 impeachments and, no surprises here, you guys impeached him. And it was on the flimsiest charges ever brought before the House.

I love it when and article on NBC's website has links to CNN and the Washington Post. One unreliable source is referring to two other sources who are even less reliable.

I don't know why you feel the need to baselessly attack me for asking a simple question, which you refused to answer.

Read what I wrote again. I said "officially at least" in regards to his kids running the businesses, which should lead anyone with an 8th grade reading comprehension level to easily infer that I was saying he was still running things. I also clearly said that I can't imagine he didn't still have a big say in what went on, which really doesn't take any ability to infer.

So you read all of that, and then attack me, call me a hypocrite and accuse me of defending him, which I did not do.

Now that you've taken your gloves off, I will say that I don't care who it is that's president president, if they have businesses they were running before they took office, those businesses are not supposed to only break even or lose money. They might, but they're not required to.

Just because a person becomes POTUS, any person, does not mean their prior businesses need to go down the drain, which is pretty clearly the message of the meme. So on any rational meme rating scale, that meme rates as an utter, total FAIL.

Sure, the lemmings are very likely to believe the media since they don't want to think for themselves. So unless you can prove it (unlike the media) I will reserve judgment. In other words, it may be true, but you really should provide some objective source(s) as proof. I know, the left doesn't care about objectivity and the truth, especially when it comes to the orange man being bad. I'm wasting my time attempting to deal in the truth with libs.
1 up, 2y,
2 replies
Did Jimmy really have enough of a business to make it matter? I haven't checked, but I'll speculate his business was 'peanuts' compared to Trump's.

I never said Trump doesn't have one redeeming quality. He did a lot of good for the country while he was POTUS. Of course he was far from perfect, so there's also a lot of bad.

Regarding what he charges the Secret Service, it would be too easy for me to deflect and point out the similarities with the excesses it costs to protect Hunter Biden (according to reports and sources!) so I won't really do that. The bottom line when it comes to anything the media tells us about Trump is that I don't believe it until I check it out. This is because I know for a fact that they've lied to us dozens of times (more, probably). I haven't checked that out, so you could be right, and you could be wrong. But doing so seems like small change, so at a minimum I'm skeptical.

Regarding what he did that was good, and I'm not talking his personality, because that's rough. He's his own worst enemy with the crap that comes flying out of his mouth. Those who love him unconditionally seem to think he's a great speaker, but I don't. He's good at getting a rally all riled up, but that's low hanging fruit.

If you don't remember the high employment rate when he was president, it's because you don't want to. And that includes record high employment for all the so-called minorities that the libs love to count up in their little identity boxes. The economy was booming until it was shut down due to covid, in part because he created nearly 9,000 Opportunity Zones which benefit those in the identity boxes. I think it's pretty safe to say that without covid, he would have easily won re-election.

We were net energy independent under Trump. The border was a mess, but WAY better than under Biden. And I'm sure libs will disagree, but I loved his foreign policy. ISIS was crushed. Allies started to pay their fair share for defense. HE brokered the Abraham Accords, the only real progress in middle east peace since when? The Clinton administration? And yes, he pulled us out of the Iran deal, which was good. Look at what Biden is doing to reinstate that. He's kissing Putin's ass. And yes, Putin did not invade any of his neighbors on Trump's watch, which can't be said for presidents Obama and Biden.

So yeah, Trump did some bad, but he did some good. It's usually that way for presidents, regardless of party. You should try to be more objective.
1 up, 2y

No, I'm not "better than that." Whatever that means.
Oh, and you and 4 or 5 others tried that last year one half week, didn't work then, it ain't working now. Only the genuine affect me. Fakers never have.

Speaking of.... that aint a fake Truth Social Tweeter, them are Derp Fuhrer Drumpf's actual words. Although you are correct. Fascist? pfffffft, unless that title is a consolation prize for yet another thing this loser failed at. This orange fart stain couldn't lick Mussolini's scro if he was still around.

What kind of severe brain damage must a congenital imbecile have sustained to go post seditious shit like that when the aspect of sedition charges were already flapping around his neck like an drunken albatross with jagged lead plated wings?

Also, that $4.2 billion averages out to $600 million per year. For a multi-billionaire, that's not all that great. So what's the beef with his businesses still making money?

Bwahahaa!
I was watching Herbie Hancock and The Headhunters performing Watermelon Man. They better watch out for the PC police! 👍🏿

But, but, but... Octavia, according to recent leftist dogma, it's not what you do that matters, it's what you say. So if you say something that would make you 'cancel-worthy' by whatever criterion the dems made up to use today, then that's it. You're out!

Bye bye Harry!!!

Please read my post again, heck, start over on the whole thread if you have to, but this time focus on the subject of what I wrote, and see if you can catch on to the obvious. Thanks.

LOL!!!! No need to do all that. You can't answer the question. The guy is DEAD and gone. He's not out of anything 'cept life!! Maybe you mean his ghost?! Like the ghost of Hugo Chavez?

Bye bye Elvis!!! hahahahahahaha Thanks.

I can answer the question, I just chose not to. I honestly thought you shouldn't have even asked it. You didn't need to, IF you had put the slightest bit of effort into actually comprehending what I wrote.

You are a bit non-fast, I see, and since you're not energetic enough to read it again and use your own brain power to figure it out, I'll explain it to you.

"So if you say something that would make you 'cancel-worthy' by whatever criterion the dems made up to use today, then that's it. You're out!"

Are you naïve enough to believe you have to be alive to be cancelled? That question alone should explain to you what I was talking about. Hell, the left doesn't care if you're dead or alive once they decide to violate your right to free speech and cancel you. Harry Truman is just as much at risk as any living person. Granted, the left prefers fresh raw meat, so they spend more time trying to cancel the living. But if they see a chance to cancel the dead, they're all over it.

In addition to desegregation of the military and the federal workforce, Truman introduced a civil rights plank in the 1948 DNC convention, enraging Southerners so much they cleaved off into the short lived Dixiecrats party. When that ended, they started joining the Republican Party.

Not sure if the Republicans had switched that much, party-wise, or just let their true colors show.

Welp, if the dead "party of Lincoln" are waving confederate flags around, I would say that's much. Conservatives have some horrendous true colors.....

He was also exceedingly racist.

Look up the "Lily-White Movement" Republicans, which began in 1880s Texas.

But did the Republican Party itself switch, or just remained in the past, thus providing a place for former Southern Democrats seeking refuge from progess...?

Nixon and Bush sent people of all races to a foreign land to die, face down in the mud/sand for their overlords and masters in Washington....

That sounds like something that a white supremacist would do, nothing to be proud of.
Unless it matters if they were Dems or republicans? Like a double set of rules....like a double standard.

Yes, that is nothing to be proud of!

LOL!! You obviously DON'T know! I am no ones 'alt', that you all seemed to be obsessed with. If you supposedly 'know' who's 'alt' I am then why the S/he?? Seems like this is another method for you righties to get out of debating when you're backed into a corner.....but thanks for the laugh!!
