That's not how fiat currency works. Money is not simply just printed, every dollar that is released into circulation has to be paid for first, and it's paid for when people buy treasury notes - bonds.
That's what Biden having the Federal Reserve raise key interest rates does, it slows spending because it costs more to borrow money, and it helps raise the value of the Dollar by making it a better investment, as bonds are tied to those interest rates.
George W Bush Jr significantly lowered lowered rates in order to deliberately weaken the $, ostensibly to stimulate the economy. Trump literally wanted interest to go into NEGATIVE rates - basically paying big corps to borrow. The dollar weakened under Trump. It's getting stronger now.
Democrats are just Republican lite, and specialize in 'compromise'/backing down, which over the decades has resulted in them 'relunctantly' going along when taxes are lowered. D lawmakers like getting rich too you know.
Do they hand out more freebies to anyone and everyone? Indeed they do....... sorta. That's how FDR started taking the South out of Third World status during the Great Depression, why northern factories moved to the South - gutting and thus ruining industry in NYC, Chicago, Detroit, etc, and why Red States to this day tend to be welfare states - net money takers, receiving more from the Federal Gov't than they pay in taxes. Northern & coastal states are footing that bill, for the most part being net givers, getting back less than they put in.
However, it isn't just a matter of Ds offering - Rs specialize in pork when it comes to bills and begging for more more more.
All that being said, Biden is a moron trying to appease a newer contingent who want to throw money at newfangled idiocy. That's why we need the old Republicans back - to help pull back on that push so that both can bring sanity back to the table.
