This must be why liberals have to rely so much on murdering their unborn children- they just cannot wrap their minds around how all this biology and reproductive stuff works.

Lol I like how everyone else is guilty for history and the Bible and you aren’t. I happen to agree except I don’t believe everyone else is guilty like you. I believe no one owes anything for hereditary guilt.

From 1917 to 1991 the Communist Party destroyed synagogues, churches, and mosques, killing between 12 and 20 million. Religious leaders were harassed, imprisoned, tortured, and even executed in the push to instill “scientific atheism.” In the “Great Purge,” up to 100,000 clergy members were slaughtered over a two-year period from 1936 to 1938.
The official Soviet stance toward religion was to completely destroy religious institutions and ideas in the belief that communist ideology could not flourish alongside religious ideas and institutions. Communist propaganda took on a militant edge against all forms of idealism and religion. Atheists were considered to be more politically astute, intelligent, and loyal party members.

I guess if what you imply is true this is where you and the rest of the socialist left would fall if it was right now. Torturing clergy and burning churches. Ya your the good guys. Not

So you deny there was religious persecution in the countries of the Soviet Union under communism?

Ya so you deny religious persecution existed in the communist Soviet Union despite imperial evidence to the contrary. 😂 😂😂 I guess denying reality is a practiced art.1

The fact you showed a picture of a Russian Cathedral that’s still standing doesn’t disprove the religious persecution or burning of churches. Below is a simple explanation for many “ Russian historical buildings” that even you can follow.

“As part of the program of state atheism, the church was confiscated from the Russian Orthodox community as part of the Soviet Union's antireligious campaigns and has operated as a division of the State Historical Museum since 1928.[12] It was completely secularized in 1929,[12] and remains a federal property of the Russian Federation. The church has been part of the Moscow Kremlin and Red Square UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990.[13][14] With the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, weekly Orthodox Christian services with prayer to St. Basil have been restored since 1997.[15]”

You’re claim:
“ Actually the Eastern Orthodox Church had a rather cozy relationship with the Soviet gov't, since WII”

The Facts:

“As part of the program of state atheism, the church was confiscated from the Russian Orthodox community as part of the Soviet Union's antireligious campaigns”

Because that’s how you be chummy with them by torturing priests and seizing or burning churches. You imperious proclamations invite ridicule because they are so wrong and easily proven so. As I just did there and elsewhere.

As to you supporting Ukrainian Nazis, that’s not my fault. Look the other way while sending billions to those that support them. I know it proves your hypocrisy as well. That looks bad doesn’t it.
5 ups, 2y
Thanks Miss Manners. I’ll keep that in mind. Glad you did some research to find out the truth. Religious persecution was committed by the Soviets regardless of your naysaying.

“Why would I be guilty for things that happened before I was born”

Really? you just convicted Serenity for things that happened before she was born. Like in the Pre Jesus Bible days.

“And that was wrong. What's your point?”

It’s an example of religion hating zealots murderous capabilities in counter to your example from the Bible.

“ Except I'm not a socialist or a communist, and I think everybody should have freedom of religion”

Maybe not, but you are an anti religious zealot who looks down on believers and believes them less than you based on your repeated belittling and marginalizing them here on this site. So your likely capable of the same atrocities right. I mean based on your accusations people who share your ideology of religious hate, it would be true.

EVERY black slave was captured and sold by other BLACK people. Still happening today in Africa. As such, ANY reparations should come from said brokers and not the purchasers. Any other view isn't based in logic or reality. Europeans and their colonies abolished slavery. Why didn't all of the world do it too ? Still buy slaves today in Africa and Muslim nations. People just want to play victim and get a payday for ending up far better off than if they had never left the country of origin

Just as a vote for any Democrat is a vote supporting the murder of unborn babies, so too, a vote for any Democrat is a vote supporting stealing from one group of people that never owned slaves, to give it to another group of people who were never slaves. It's not like the Democrat Party doesn't bring this up on an almost monthly basis.

The life of a liberal is fraught with so many inconsistencies and outright hypocrisies that it is no wonder liberals are found to be troubled by mental illness at a higher rate than their conservative counterparts. Reality is not your friend.

"I said that black people today shouldn't get reparations for slavery they never went through. What did I supposedly lie about?"

If you were telling the truth about this, you would not vote for Democrats. Your words say one thing, your actions, another. This makes you a liar.

I suppose you may be lying to yourself, and may not be intending to lie to the rest of us, but the end result is the same.
6 ups, 2y
1. The Democrat Party, local/State/Federal, support reparations.
2. You support the Democrat Party.
3. You support reparations.

The Bible says that, "the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom."; the beginning of wisdom. You cannot even get off to first base apart from this, so you are unable to embrace logic and reason.

"Okay, Mr Earth-is-only-6000-years-old"

This is only a problem for me if it isn't true. Since it is true, to deny it makes you the actual "science denier" . . .

That new telescope has opened up a new can of worms for the naturalists, and they are having a very difficult time understanding why they are seeing what they see. This was something many already knew about, so we are not surprised at any of it.

You cannot see full-blown, mature galaxies that are some 23+ billion light years away if the universe is only 13~ billions years old. And so on.
5 ups, 2y
"All they have are stupid claims which are not supported by evidence, like saying that the speed of light used to be faster in the distant past and it has slowed down since then. They provide no evidence that the speed of light was ever different."

Neither does the side you think you support.

"It hasn't caused scientists to reevaluate the entire origin of the universe, only certain aspects of it."

This is because they have no clue about the origin of the universe. They claim that at one point, there may have been a singular point in which all matter and energy existed, but they have no reasonable explanation for where that came from.

Either Someone Who is, by nature, eternally existent created all of this, or matter and energy must have that quality. We know it does not by reason of science.

But let's say that matter and energy were always there in that form. We would be able to go back 1,000,000 before the alleged Big Bang and it would be there; we could go back 100,000,000,000 years and it would have been there; and so on. If you think really, really hard about going back in time for all of infinity, if you get it right, you will realize then that is that were true, it would still be true today. Unless some outside force existed to alter it, something that by definition, could not exist.

"Some creationists try to get around this by saying that God created the light already on its way to Earth. Once again they have no way to demonstrate this and no way to show that that's even possible. It's a pathetic ad hoc argument because they're desperate for anything."

Very few, if any, say this, because that would not work when it comes to observing exploding stars, etc. Some secular theorists and theorizing that it is possible that once light leaves a source, it may well return almost instantly, etc. They theorize this because they do not have all the answers to explain what they are seeing. It may well be that we hardly know exactly how light works, even now,

Regardless, my position that is based on the Bible says that an all powerful, infinite God created everything we see. For Him, this was as if nothing, but for us, it boggles our minds.

The side you think you embrace has no answers to these dilemmas, yet you believe what they say anyway. What I have is an informed faith, while yours is a blind faith. They say it, and you believe it. They cannot prove it, you believe it anyway. They say they have evidence, which turns out to be cartoons,
5 ups, 2y
. . . and you believe it anyway.

We know that gravity plays a role in how light travels, so there may be any number of visible ways that explain how light moves. But this we know- galaxies that are 13 billion light years away should not be there- nothing should be there, depending on which direction you look in.

So, you have made an accusation, which I now return towards those you blindly follow: "Once again they have no way to demonstrate this and no way to show that that's even possible. It's a pathetic ad hoc argument because they're desperate for anything."

There are many other issues that have long been observed that have paper thin explanations to explain away the impossible of what we see. Things like the organization of the galaxies we observe, including our own. If they were as old as they believe, *mathematics* and quantum physics informs them that the galaxies should by much more chaotic, having spun themselves apart at the outer edges.

Because they cannot explain this and still hold onto 12/13/14 billion years, they have invented a mystical substance called dark matter. Dark Matter is allegedly more abundant than ALL the matter that is visible, but apparently none of it is in our neighborhood. The ONLY place that dark matter exists is in their theoretical equations, period. They need all of this extra matter to explain away the fact that the galaxies are not behaving like they are billions of years old.

On a completely unrelated note, the examples are starting to build of how your evil ideology, and those you support, have permanently destroyed the lives of many children.

This will only get worse as time goes on, and you are at best an accessory to this monstrosity. Walsh is correct when he states that history will not be kind to you all when all is said and done.

And yes, I know you don't care, because all that matters is for you to surround yourself with things that affirm your rebellion towards God. Just please never again lie about how much you care about anyone other than yourself, ok?

"I know you won't listen to facts and reason, but I'll correct you once again for anyone else who reads this. The study which people like you point to doesn't say that liberals actually have a higher rate of mental illness, it says that liberals have a higher rate of *seeking treatment* for mental illness. That is because many conservatives are less likely to seek treatment for mental illness for a number of reasons. The rates of mental illness are most likely similar between the two groups, but liberals are more likely to actually try to get help instead of ignoring it like many conservatives."

Unless the study can prove that there is a similar rate of mental illness among those who do not seek treatment, saying that is so is speculation, nothing more, and that speculation is certainly NOT the same as facts and reason.

Another inference that can be made is that because liberals seek help for mental illness in greater numbers, liberals have more instances of mental illness. That is more logical than your speculation, especially when we observe all that we observe in society.

Liberals burn buildings down in protest over something they barely understand; alleged conservatives turn over a few chairs, break a few windows, and get shot at.
Liberals maintain that women can become men and men can become women, simply by thinking it.
I could go on for days, but I think you realize this, deep down, which is why you attempt to reinterpret that study.

Some mental illness cannot be helped, so there is no shame in it- you do not need to defend those seeking help. But there is clearly a connection between people with mental problems and who embraces today's morally bankrupt liberalism.

"YOU have no soul, absolutely ! Most of us actually do"

You just got done accusing me of being incapable of using reason or being rational. So please, use your reason and rationality and show me evidence that a soul exists which lives on forever after a person dies

"IF you have friends here, I'll bet it's ONLY here"

And you'd be wrong

"You couldn't win a debate against a toddler without Google. You're a sad , sad joke of what people have become. Weakest humans in the history of the world are just like you"

So instead of actually contributing something useful to the discussion, you just resort to insults. I can't say I'm surprised.

I should also point out that just declaring yourself the winner of an argument without actually showing how are you won is pretty sad.
0 ups, 2y
Actually anything alive does, as that's what soul is: life.

Oh, and he's actually MET - as in IRL - a handful of people from here, the number close to rivaling your number of followers, if not exceeding it.

Perhaps if ad hominems are all you have to resort to, ones that don't shine a glaring light on what you ain't and cannot do might prove more beneficial. Jus' sayin'.
3 ups, 2y
And just so you aren't totally confused, the prophetic aspects of David's Psalms are often twofold- David's life was so organized by God, that what he records in the Psalms first happened to him, in one form or another, but was later duplicated and ultimately fulfilled by his "son", the Son of David, the Son of God.

This is God's arrangement, btw, and the Scriptures readily transition between the two concepts. If you don't like how God handled this, you are free to take it up with Him one day.

In the end, however, you are wrong about what the Jews believe/believed.

Acts 2:29-31
Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.
-

Paul here is referring to Psalm 16:9-11

Psalm 16:9-11 (emphasis added)

Therefore, my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
or let your holy one see corruption.

You make known to me ***the path of life***;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures ***forevermore***.
-

So much more can be said, but I really only needed to provide a single example to refute your nonsense. You know almost nothing about what the Bible really teaches- why do you insist in pretending otherwise?
5 ups, 2y,

😂 it’s hilarious how you make these inaccurate imperious proclamations. You certainly are no expert on Judaism and your proclamations are wrong as usual. Atheists are the only ones who believe nothing happens after death.
2 ups, 2y,

You really, really do not know what you are talking about when it comes to the Word of God, yet you persist.

Job 19:25-27

For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last He will stand upon the Earth.
And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
yet in my flesh I shall see God,
whom I shall see for myself,
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
My heart faints within me!
-

Now, you so muddy what you do not understand, let me give a brief explanation of what Job is saying here.

*He knows his Redeemer lives, and that He will stand physically on the Earth one day.
*After his skin has been destroyed, after he has died and returned to dust, he will one day see God in his body. This is explained in later revelation, where everyone will be given eternal bodies- some to live forever in the Presence of God, and most to live forever in eternal punishment.
*He will have eyes, and he will behold God, after he has died, yet sometime after that.

There is a lot more in the Bible that refers to the afterlife, but nowhere do we see just how wrong you are than in the arguments that take place between the Pharisees and Sadducees.

If none of them believed that the OT taught about an afterlife, why would they be arguing for and against a resurrection of the dead?

Acts 23:6-8

Now when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. It is with respect to the hope and the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial.”

And when he had said this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided.
For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.
-

Ah, but you say that this is found in the NT.
