What heartland? My pictures are democratically administered cities that are supposed to be progressing and prospering under the utopian policies of the Democrats. The fact this picture isn’t as bad as the cities is telling. Bet he isn’t assaulted very often. Thanks for posting proof that the Democrap run cities are worse poverty than the backwoods.

I’m blaming democrat policies for the utter shambles our cities have become. Always been crime and poverty and drugs but all are considerably and noticeably worse under democrat policies. Giving drugs and pipes to drug addicts doesn’t reduce drug use it encourages it and that is just one example.

WHy cant the poor people just moved out to the gated communities- it seems like such an easy fix.

The lefts answer to poverty is more poverty.

There's more crime in cities because there's more people in cities, and the OP is correct about them being Democrat run, as they are nearly all Democrat run except for some small ones that would fit in neighborhoods round these parts. I just found out 2 wks ago that even San Diego, the ONLY large city run by Republicans, ain't anymore, as it too has gone Democrat.

San Antonio’s mayor is an Independent, interestingly. No idea if that means more of a Republican or a Democrat. But apart from a nice riverwalk (that I just learned inspired Chicago’s), S.A. is pretty lackluster compared to the likes of Austin, certainly.

The more people you have in a confined area, the more things that people do you'll have in that area, good, bad, or otherwise.

Simply concentrating them in limited space would not just increase the rates, but increases the likelihood of potential encounters and opportunities.
In the neighborhood I currently live in, you can walk for blocks without seeing anyone. In the neigborhood where I had an apt for 21yrs I would see tons of people as I went grocery shopping. It was a low income area and more densely populated than where I am now, so chances of running into a criminal is higher for a resident there, especially in the last 2yrs.

And the people in the cities confirm it’s all worse than it was. Defund the police and soft on crime policies of the democrats play a large part,
