He found in his studies that animals and humans, while they were competitive, relied more on the factor of mutual aid and cooperation to survive as a species, and the best organized species were the ones who survived. Even small birds when organized could deter stronger birds of prey.

Anarcho-communists do not believe in everyone for themselves, quite the contrary. We believe in the abolition of private property, collectivizing workplace so they network horizontally with other collectives, build management from the ground up and operate democratically and voluntarily. This results in everyone organizing production and consumption toward meeting the needs of everyone in the community.

Humans are not naturally competitive and fighting over resources. The history of humanity proves this. We did collective agriculture for centuries and were very generous in socializing food and goods until capitalism was forced upon us. Even under the capitalist system, mutual aid persists.

Before capitalism humans lived in village communities and produced for themselves before they traded goods on the market, they did common agriculture, assisted members of their villages in quarrels and were able to come up with peaceful solutions that involved reincorporating people who wronged others, including them into the family of the wronged. The organization of the village community was the avoidance of domination by Roman rulers and states.

China has the largest economy in the world and is market socialist. They lifted 800 million people out of poverty, beating any capitalist country in drop in poverty. In fact, more people are falling into poverty in the capitalist nations. Vietnam is also market socialist, and even the World Economic Forum is astounded at their 'economic miracle'. Their economic growth almost outperforms China. In the autonomous region of Chiapas, controlled by the Zapatista rebels, they operate on a libertarian socialist/communist model of worker cooperatives and general assemblies, a very decentralized form of governance in their community. One study found that they are better vaccinated, have greater access to toilet facilities, have better access to healthcare and fewer of them suffer from TB than in the pro-government Mexican communities.

Mexico is a poor country and you know it. I highlighted the progress the Zapatistas have made when practicing socialism in contrast to the neoliberal hellhole that is the rest of Mexico.

I also didn’t say China or Cuba were beacons of liberty. I think political repression is quite bad in those places, and the United States is not very free in contrast either when put up to scrutiny.

The Zapatistas are very free and intersectional in their solidarity with women, queer people, etc. they are feminists and revolutionaries that uphold the rights of all, especially the indigenous, against the threat of neoliberalism and global capitalism.

False. Socialism in all its forms has failed miserably everywhere & every time it's ever been tried. Thank goodness the vast majority of sensible Americans know it, and they will not fall for the lies. They reject this twisted ideology outright. The Left's pie-in-the-sky idea of a Socialist utopia is right up there with concepts like time-travel & Star Trek's "warp-speed": sounds good in theory, but impossible in real-life.

It has been very successful in Sovietized states in greatly reducing inequality, in Russia the five year plans were responsible for developing the country’s industrial forces into the 21st century, China has lifted 800 million out of poverty, Cuba has a lower child mortality rate than the U.S., a higher literacy rate, a higher life expectancy, Vietnam is considered an “economic miracle” by the World Economic Forum and has growth nearly outpacing China. The Zapatistas have practiced libertarian socialism for almost 30 years and are more successful than pro-government Mexican communities.

Americans do not “know better”, they’ve been subjected to propaganda and hegemony that convinces them that socialism is “evil”, “doomed” and should never be considered. And as a result, workers in this country suffer from uprooted democracy, extreme wealth disparity, and lots of debt.
