The whole point of Conservatism is not just to silence, but to totally eliminate anything contrary to the vision of a arcane myopic status quo, one that itself is a mythologized idealization which also pretends it can gloss any negative aspects of the era they wish to go back to simply by claiming those delightful diary entries of yore are the exagerrated lies of naysayers.
