I don't disagree, which is why I am most likely to believe a party who doesn't stand to make a boatload of $$$ by trying to influence my opinion and choices.

Party meaning any association group from product marketing to 'non-profit' groups, associations or advocacy groups. Lots of alphabet soup groups out there. Lots of other myths and rumors that get repeated ad nauseam until they become unsubstantiated wives tales. For instance, the one about salt being bad for you.
