I'm sure an asteroid/meteor, volcano, or the inevitable dying of the sun will eventually burn everything... But until that day comes, I don't think everything in California will burn down...despite however many major fires there are annually there. Sure, there's been many lately due in part to drought but forest fires are not exactly unprecedented. They've been around for more or less as long as there has been trees. And they are among the few natural disasters which we as a species actually have any degree of control over. Redwood trees are also among the fastest growing species of trees on earth. (3-10 feet per year according to Google.)
