% is irrelevant. Even if it is 99% of the country believes in immorality, should the 1% cater to the peer pressure?
0 ups, 2y
Can't let the 1% dictate which direction society goes. The 99% does, and has always been the case since the begining of humanity.

Morality about what?
Who decides what is moral? Pedophilia and child marriages are still common practice in some countries. In America it’s far more hidden but here too.
Stoning people to death moral or immoral?
Public executions because someone is gay, moral immoral?
War and countless genocides, literally the murder of thousands upon thousands upon thousands of men women and children we’ve never met and who did nothing to us personally in the name of money, power and resources. Moral or immoral?

Killing the man who raped your wife or molested your kids, moral or immoral and based on what?
Not killing the man who raped your wife or molested your kids, moral or immoral?

Isn’t morality subjective?

If you are arguing that you can't objectively know what you're talking about when you argue about morality, you won't bring much to the table.

As far as I can tell, and I could certainly be wrong, but after years of collegiate psychology work, engaging with thousands of humans in both actual mentally hospitals and the biggest one I’m aware of in the known universe which is earth itself, hundreds of people in homelessness outreach, 35 years of work in drug addiction, alcoholism and mental health I’d say there is an “objective” morality, however, said morality is based on an innumerable number of personal and collective experiences, the society one is born in, the country, the time period as what is accepted moral seems, like absolutely everything does, to change with the times just as people do, the parents, the religion of the society, the indoctrination of the child into said religion as well as not indoctrinating and various other things. Again innumerable.

Since there is no such thing as a absolute objective view because our thinking is all conditioned by, again innumerable things and any and all information in our individual minds are actually someone else’s thoughts, beliefs and ideas mulched and recycled by our minds to give rise to our individual understanding, or lack there of as the case may be there’d be no way to measure it.
What tool would we use and who would decide if it was correct or not and what then would give another human or group of humans imbued with the same exact set of conditioned thinking responses any authority to decide correctness?

Morality is, in my opinion, both objective and subjective.
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, whatever the moral majority is doing, run the other way right?

The moral majority, which is in effect a very small minority, the people with the most money basically, the rulers and dictators of the various countries around the world decide what is moral or not.
War seems to still be mora provided the money, resources and power to be gained is right.
The murder of other human beings who have never harmed me personally and never would because typically they’re thousands of miles away apparently is still ok. The torture, murder and enslavement of other living beings to satisfy the sense desires of humans in the modern day concentration camps we call slaughterhouses is apparently “moral.”
Child marriages and pedophilia is still recognized as moral in some countries and religions.
The Seth penalty is moral apparently.
Boiling other humans in hot oil, crucifixions, incredible tortures devices of the day were moral with the time

Certainly you can cite that study.

The election was not on that subject. So it's a no - as I thought.

You don't think morality plays a factor in people's votes???

I think the last election was driven by fear and lies. Lies that are beginning to surface now.

OK. Well, we took a vote on it, and most of us decided that it WASN'T driven by fear and lies, and more importantly, that the morality platform you ran on was a pile of hot garbage.

You're telling me that you still don't know anything about Hunter and the laptop from hell? Or that the entire collusion narrative has come unravelled?

Can you possibly be that hopelessly unaware!?!?

What, the stuff that never went through a chain of custody and will never be admitted to any courtroom?

If it's not good enough for a courtroom, it ain't gonna change a lot of people's minds.

Um, Rudy Giulianni is a lawyer. The laptop repair shop has Hunter's signature turning it in for repair, Giulianni received it from the repair shop, and he turned the disk image over to the FBI. That chain of custody is air tight.

How many terabytes of data have you collected for legal proceedings? I'd need a few weeks and a calculator to figure out that number for myself... I don't do that work anymore, but I have maintained my digital forensics credentials because my customers like to see it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh my God, you still take Rudy Giuliani seriously. I don't know what else needs to happen before you realize that he's not been keeping up with his legal skills at all - he really quite publicly botched quite a few high profile cases these last couple of years, you couldn't have missed it.

Speaking of former lawyers for Trump, Alan Dershowitz said it's going to be a tough time of it finding anything in Biden's emails to incriminate President Joe Biden.

Which is kinda why ain't anyone heard anything even pretending to do so.

Well, you're going to have to because it's not going to be court admissible any time soon. Or really ever.
