They did the same thing with Jenner. Named woman of the year before he was a 'woman' for a year haha

Par for course with them. Another reason I'm glad to be a woman who is neither a liberal nor a feminist.

And it was men who voted to give suffragettes what they wanted.

feminists also ensured millions would end up putting a career over family so now they cry about their dried up eggs over wine with their cat. Great work feminists.

I think no woman should be coerced by social trends or activist pressure to give up the choice.

You have certainly been industrious tonight in deflecting from the subject of the original meme post, OM. If one didn't know better, they might think it hit some kind of nerve with you.

How about the right to compete for sports scholarships fairly without having to lose them to a "woman" who used to be named "Steve"?

The closest thing Levine has "fought for" was the opportunity to get his mom out of the kind of elderly facility he hoped to cram the parents of others into. As hard as you're trying to deviate the conversation into some b.s. debate about feminists and Amendments, Levine is not a woman and never will be. This is what scorches your biscuits, and how dare any mere woman to point that out!

If you're talking about the 19th Amendment and who voter for/against it, then here you are:

House: 304 to 89, (Republicans 200-19 for, Democrats 102-69 for, Union Labor 1-0 for, Prohibitionist 1-0 for), 42 votes more than necessary being obtained.

Senate: 56 ayes and 25 nays (Republicans 36-8 for, Democrats 20-17 for)

Seems to me that the democrats had a high percentage of folks that didn't want women to get the vote whilst there were an overwhelming number of republicans that did want them to get the vote.

Stop spreading disinformation.

Thanks for sharing, Abby.
Something that grinds my gears is when libbies try to make it out that a woman should feel obliged to feminists for their Right to vote. As the Amendment itself states, that Right is for Citizens of the U.S.; it does not specify that one's personal beliefs have to conform to another's in order to be insured.

From the same people that tried in the past a few time to give the Democrat Party all the credit for ending slavery.

Oh, that's right, liberals and conservatives (and republicans and democrats) did this whole philosophical phase shift both on this issue and slavery much like the earth is going to shift its magnetic poles, right?

No, you shan't play that card on me, Republicans are on the right side of history on both of these issues and the democrats play catch up just because they want to corral the votes of the POC and women so that these groups vote D in lockstep.

His only defense is word games now - like all of those Republicans that voted for the 19th amendment back in 1919 were liberals!

Actually feminists gave up on Democrats because they didn't care for anyone voting besides white men. Read about Elizabeth Stanton. She didn't even approach the Democrats when fighting for women's rights. They were against black people voting, and they were against women voting. This changed a couple decades later, when they realized they could use an appeal to oppressed minorities (like blacks and women) to promote themselves. In other words, they used what they were against to further themselves. But these were the same people who tried to block the world with everyone voting that we know today from happening.

But but but "Where did I say the words "democrat" or "republican" even once?"

There, I saved him the time of posting that. Always trying to help out my fellow IMGFLIPer. No thanks necessary or expected 😀

If she is woman of the year, every other woman must be evil. Such a bad example...I love Woman's History month as I am one, and this is a major disappointment
