If that's the most terrible penalty you can imagine . . . you're doing pretty well.

Because in Saudi Arabia . . . https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/saudi-arabia-executes-81-men-terrorism-other-charges-spa-2022-03-12/

It's a restriction thst doesn't make sense, and serves to silence an individual from getting their story out - a violation of the first amendment.

It makes sense in the case of a person who has previously used their social media presence to organize and/or participate in an insurrection, or has seriously attempted to destabilize our democracy by promulgating lies about our elections and our government.

In the Schenck decision, Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote, “We admit that in many places and in ordinary times the defendants in saying all that was said in the circular would have been within their constitutional rights. But the character of every act depends upon the circumstances in which it is done. The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man in falsely shouting fire in a theatre and causing a panic.”

No, just people who break laws because their candidate didn't win.

Since he pleaded guilty to knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disorderly conduct in restricted buildings or grounds, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and parading or demonstrating in the Capitol building - he was penalized.

The court wanted to ensure James Leslie Little did NOT repeat his illegal actions in the next Presidential cycle so the conditions of his probation are valid given he could not discern fact from fiction.

Remember what Sydney Powell, co-founder of the Stop the Steal movement said? “reasonable people would not accept such statements as fact.”

By her own admission, Little was not reasonable so his actions were not justified because he believed Powell and Trump when they said the election was stolen. It wasn't.

Since he was part of the insurrection, I'd say he got off easy.
