I once watched a documentary about the Roosevelt cousins. Teddy summed up his youth with this line, "My father, was the best man I ever knew. He combined strength and courage with gentleness, tenderness, and great unselfishness. He would not tolerate in us children selfishness or cruelty, idleness, cowardice, or untruthfulness." And when Teddy started college, his father advised him,"Take care of your morals first, your health next, and finally your studies.".
There is nothing like that with FDR's upbringing.
