Said it before and will say it again; BBB is for snobs with too much money.

Worked there for over 2 years, and then I lost my job that I really liked due to no fault of my own. Interestingly, Godiva kept all their stores in China open...

Having products to sell VS. not having products to sell certainly does.

"My Pillow" sucks. Dropping them was a good business decision imo regardless of politics.

Yeah, losing $100,000,000 is definitely a way to position themselves for success...

The product is sh*t... I have one. If I could return it, I would. I mean it's ok for like an extra couch cushion but for actual sleep..... Nope.

Also you seem to be implying that 100% of a loss that happened more than 6 months after the fact was specifically due to dropping My Pillow.
... I'd be interested in seeing the sources you used to come up with that. (Assuming you didn't just get it from a meme on Facebook or something.)

To each their own. I have a full size blue and it's been awesome. Wife had a green and didn't like it but then tried my blue and liked that so she exchanged.

Kid uses a travel size for campouts and likes it. I usually just ball up a hoodie for a camp pillow.

I'll go dig the article up, it wasnt just "Facebook memes" no. The company claims it was broader "supply chain issues," but of course they do, everyone does. Doesn't take a genius to realize that a bunch of empty shelves is a worse business plan than stocking pillows made in the USA (as opposed to sitting on a boat off the coast of California). I'm sure their shareholders appreciate the virtue signal. I'm sure the unemployed store staff are able to feed themselves with corporate wokeness.

Virtually all types of brick and mortar stores have been shutting down and taking cutbacks for many years, failing to compete with Walmart and Amazon....[excluding Home Depot, Lowe's, and Grow Generation due to various states marijuana legalization and the housing boom I am pretty sure they've been expanding but I could be wrong].. but ya I think it will probably be only a matter of time before BB&B goes under and it won't because they dropped 1 brand of pillows.

And you can try to claim virtue signaling if you want but consumer demand for MyPillow has been lacking for a while.... According to USA Today, JC Penny was putting em on clearance roughly 6 months before the election due to lack of demand. That would've been long before Liddell was going on about "muh fraud".. was that also virtue signaling?

LOL JCP was putting everything on clearance because they were going through bankruptcy. The lack of consumer interest was a lack of setting foot in a JCP. It didn't matter what they had on the shelves.

Time will tell if that is the future for Bed Bath Beyond. If it is, then its definitely not a time to be getting overtly political. That's going to immediately alienate half your consumers. Not smart.

Ok and now JCP is coming out of bankruptcy and they have dropped My pillow entirely.... Seems like a pretty bold move for a company trying to make a comeback to drop a product if it was any kind of top selling item. I mean to be fair I do not have their sales numbers of that product (and I'm pretty sure you also do not)... But ya idk I have no reason to believe JCP nor BB&B management values "virtue signaling" over money.

I would also dispute your characterization of them being "overtly political". If they were, they would simply say look that guy's a nutjob peddling retrumplican conspiracy theories which have been consistently wrong and we don't want our brand associated with that. What they actually did is dropped his product, citing demand. (Unless they put out other statements I'm unaware of..? idk)

There's always a high demand for empty shelves.

MyPillow is actually the only product in existence.
