Seems right to me. Are you denying that southern slave owners in the 1800’s were Democrats? Living in California I know that neither the Republicans or Democrats ever did anything about immigration because both want it in California for different reasons.
This is precisely why people need to move past political labels & look at actions. Think about the tremendous pressure this guy was under to vote in favor of this garbage bill & he still did not succumb. That takes character & balls as big as Church bells. If even a quarter of all Democrats did what this guy just did - there might be hope for that party.
