Being treated like a 'monster' (free room, food, tv, clothes, heat..) for his crimes is evident that civilised nations are sometimes civil to a fault

stop making your username sound so much like the word “stupid” and we won’t call you SSTTUUPPIIDD (even though it describes you perfectly)

Well that's what happens when you kill people.

Crazy right?
Ppl don't like it when you run them over!

Unless he was BLM supporter or member of Antifa, they'd be out for blood

No, even a low-life repeat offender with a history of threatening lives on social media and found in the vehicle used in the crime has the Right to a fair trial.

That's how one gets to death row though, no? I didn't say take him out back to an impromtu firing squad or have Giuliani call some connections.

Besides, I'm actually against the death penalty, it's just that in cases like this, where there is zero doubt and the crime was so sick and the bastard so vile, I kinda wouldn't mind.

I'm sorry for misunderstanding you.
I am not real fond of the death penalty, as modern science has proved the innocence of many who have been found guilty. But this case, yeah I think this guy is an exception and for the reasons you mentioned.

My fault, as actually I was going to add that but opted not to because it would have seemed wishy washy or hypocritical ("KILL THE MOFO - even though I'm really against it").

Plus I'm generally against it for reasons including what you stated.
On the other hand if I was at a situation where such had just happened, who knows what I might do because I'm a bit reactive and volatile and at times a tad rash. Chances are I'd do something I'd regret because it would end up with me getting shot by the cops before I even finish (nothing against the cops, they wouldn't be there to give me a pass because I'm so fab).

I've not looked into the details past what I'd heard on the (local) news when it happened, because I can't hack it. I even cover his face with my fingers when looking at a meme.

They just released somone here yesterday after serving 43 years for a crime he didn't commit, not sure what it was.

Perhaps you are thinking of those two men recently exonerated in the death of Malcolm X? One is now free (having spent the majority of his life behind bars) while the other passed away in prison. A tragic situation for them and their loved ones.

Yes. But the wrong men were convicted.

My bad, it Kevin Strickland of Missouri who was freed last week after a judge overturned his conviction of a triple murder. But I just heard it yesterday, and figured it was here.

Yeah, the Malcolm ones too, gosh, can you imagine? Four decades behind bars for nothing.

Meanwhile this thing, like Rosenbaum, get next to nothing for real crimes, and of the vilest sort.
Hence my quip about who's really innocent in jail - it's those who get the book thrown at them. Do 20 or more, yup, innocent.
