I’d feel much safer around somebody who has experience in training handling a firearm. Believe me I have no intention of threatening anyone. But a doofus like Alec Baldwin is a complete utter danger to everybody.

He's still a murderer. Check the local laws. He's very likely going to see some serious time inside a jail cell. From a legal perspective, lack of intent doesn't excuse the action.

Whereas what Baldwin did was pure stupidity, carelessness, lack of concern for others, etc. Those are not traits I am comfortable dealing with.

I'm not sure what Baldwin's stupidity is based in, other than he seems to have a fairly inflated opinion of his own self worth. Right up until he murdered someone, he may have felt he could do no wrong. At least he seemed to act that way, imo.

Before pointing a loaded weapon at someone they claim to have cared about, and pulling the trigger, anyone with an ounce of common sense, compassion, or concern for their fellow human beings would have checked to see if the gun was loaded.

Another point, Octavia. You seem to have a pretty big blind spot regarding the types of things that can harm you. Your comment here is another example of that.

In this case, you'd rather be around someone, who through acts of utter negligence and ignorance, is far more likely to kill someone than someone who has firearms safety training and only shoots in self-defense.

While it's commendable that you seem to have such a positive outlook, it won't keep you safe in dangerous situations; those in which most peoples' keen grasp of the obvious would let them know to be on high alert.

I hope nothing bad happens to you because of this, which is one reason why I am pointing it out.
