No one ever realizes how deeply rooted in American history this is. There are red coats on every corner in every painting from the original colonies. When a colonist was killed for passing a wooden penny, usually the red coats that did it were also killed. People have just rewritten history.

Except Chauvin didn’t kill Brown Floyd. The fentanyl did.

I don’t think so. The testimony about that was obviously made up. And clearly false. To the point that the EMT they brought in to lie was literally LAUGHING as she testified on the witness stand. It was obvious that the police witnesses were used to regularly lying on the witness stand to cover things up. No rational person could have ever seen it otherwise. The same way any person who can watch the George Floyd video and not see murder is completely irrational. Floyd was completely wrong in resisting arrest. That doesn’t make the police right for killing him. The fact that they knew each other and had serious bad blood between them makes the Floyd case worse than someone dying during a random arrest. It was a murder and it was for reasons unrelated to the made up story about passing counterfeit money. Chauvin was taking bribes to protect a shady bar (that Floyd worked with him at) from the police. He was a bad cop from the beginning. He was taking bribes protecting a bar where criminals like Floyd sold and bought drugs. That’s why they knew each other. The fact that he’s a white cop doesn’t make him innocent. He was a criminal just like Floyd and he shouldn’t have been on the force. He is the last person any police groups should be making an angel out of.

That restraint has been used over 200 times in the Wisconsin area over the past decade and killed nobody. Fentanyl, on the other hand, has killed many people.

Were you aware that just a year prior, Floyd was being arrested and had to be rushed to a hospital because he consumed drugs to hide them? But I’m sure nothing like that happened here, right? You stupid, arrogant, indoctrinated creep.

I am aware. Rodney King was guilty, too. You apparently prefer the Taliban method of policing, so please don’t also claim to be a freedom loving patriot, too. Because you are supporting the type of government that American soldiers have died to prevent for the past 250 years.

If the cops were just getting off on violence, why was everyone else in King’s car fine?

so why the knee instead of narcan?
4 ups, 3y,
1 reply
Because he was violently resisting arrest, dumbass.
0 ups, 3y
I agree. That he shouldn’t have resisted arrest. And I also believe 100% that black people don’t learn what we learned, “if you get caught doing something stupid, you shut up and take your. ticket and pay the $50 fine.” And “your better off arguing with a judge than getting killed before they take your finger prints.” There’s a video of a mother fighting with the police in Elk Grove, California that went viral. It’s not available online anymore, but the kid clearly blew through a stop sign right in front of the police car without even slowing down. Yes, parents like that are at least half the reason these people are getting killed. If the police are calling backup, yeah, you did something wrong. George Floyd is a different story. They both worked for a shady bar and Derek Chauvin was known for using his badge to assist other criminals.

Yes, but if someone got tazed AND also had a lethal dose of fentanyl in their system . . . it's much more likely to be the fentanyl considering how often that kills people as opposed to tasers.

Do you ever get tired of being wrong?

3 ups, 3y
Yes, and Floyd had well over what is commonly considered a lethal dose in his bloodstream, but for some reason, you insist this has nothing to do with his death.
3 ups, 3y,

Holy shit, that's a ton of assumption.
0 ups, 3y
No. It isn’t. Normally cops testify in their trials. Chauvin couldn’t because then it would’ve all come out on cross examination-because that would be the only way to get their relationship on the record. You are seriously lacking in understanding how the legal system works. The police run the system. They work for the city government. They do not go after their own the same as everyone else. That is a fact. They didn’t go out of their way to gather evidence like a normal homicide because the defendant was a police officer. Whether you like it or not—that’s how it is. If Chauvin is convicted of murder—the city has to pay millions when they get sued. If there is also evidence that Chauvin was a corrupt cop who was the protector of all of the criminals like Floyd that congregated at a shady bar and killed him over a dispute related to that—then the city is paying out way more money for not doing anything about Chauvin, who was known for his involvement with drugs and crime. That’s reality. The police are people. They commit at least as many crimes as everyone else. The badge doesn’t make them special or better than everyone else. If that wasn’t true, the American people wouldn’t be able to freely buy illegal drugs, guns or counterfeit goods. The police and law enforcement agencies are all involved in all types of crime and corruption on a nationalized basis. You are too naive to understand reality if that idea surprises you. The idea of good police and bad criminals is a fairy tale. That’s not how the world works.
0 ups, 3y
Hate to break it to you, but the move to legalize drugs going on now, is really the only way to curb the corruption. By taking a lot of money out of the equation.

How much would I have to pay you to get blood fentanyl levels to the same level as Floyd's on his death?
1 up, 3y
Who said pay? They are the same people covering in this case as in every other case. The whole system was corrupt,
2 ups, 3y,

His blood fentanyl level was not near fatal. He was under the influence, but that has never been a justification for murder in any state in America.
5 ups, 3y,
1 reply
His blood fentanyl level was three times higher than the average lethal dose. Most likely he swallowed his drugs, like he did a year prior.
0 ups, 3y
No. It was .11 consistent with under the influence. That number comes from the official toxicology reports. That is nowhere near fatal. Not even close.

Even if true, and he just coincidentally dropped dead while police were literally sitting on him, there is still an issue. Chauvin and crew stayed on GF for 2 and a half minutes after they identified that he wasn't breathing. They didn't render aid.
5 ups, 3y,

The ambulance was something like 4 minutes away and went to the wrong address.
0 ups, 3y
The police literally said in the video "he's not breathing" and none of them tried to move of of him. You don't have to support BLM, but you should be able to admit that at that point, a reasonable person would have moved off of him and started CPR.

The police chief testified that policy required aid to be administered and that officers were trained in basic aid.

The ambulance didn't go to the wrong address. The additional aid they requested went to the original address instead of where they had moved to a few blocks away.

How stupid are you? It's not a "coincidence," you moron. Floyd probably consumed drugs to hide them from the cops, then, as HAD ALREADY HAPPENED BEFORE, Floyd overdosed while in police custody. But this time, he didn't survive.

Geez, you're as dumb as a brick.

Cause of death was officially homicide. Multiple experts concluded it based on all evidence.

You didn't address the 2 and a half minutes after he stopped breathing.

Homocide doesn't necessarily mean culpability for those involved, just that they were involved. Baker specifically said on the stand that homocide in this case doesn't imply guilt.
0 ups, 3y,
1 reply
True. Homicide in a death cert doesn't mean guilt or innocence. Determination of guilt isn't for an ME to determine. Homicide means someone else did it, it doesn't speak to intent or whether or not it was self defense or accidental.
3 ups, 3y,
1 reply
No, homocide means someone else was involved, not that they 'did it'. I believe drug od's are listed as homocides as someone sold them the drugs, although I may be mistaken.
0 ups, 3y
"Homicide—Death from an injury or poisoning that occurs due to a volitional act committed by another person to cause fear, harm, or death. Intent to cause death is a common element, but is not required for classification as homicide."

Overdose deaths can be accidental, intentional (suicide), or homicide.
2 ups, 3y,

I wonder how much of that evidence consisted of the threats on their lives if Chauvin were exonerated.
0 ups, 3y,
1 reply
I'd say none. If they feared threats they could have recused themselves. The defense also could have brought up such threats if they were numerous.

I'm not saying political pressure was impossible, but there were cops who knew Chauvin for years that testified that the knee in knock restraint was not one that is authorized, and add one of the officers who trained others, he would have been trained and aware of that.
3 ups, 3y,

Ah, you mean they LIED? It was right there in their training manuals.

Why do you lie, scumsucker?
3 ups, 3y,
1 reply
The question is why the police chief lied and how he got away with it.
0 ups, 3y
He didn't lie - It's too easy to prove if he did and I'm sure too many cops who would speak up at least anonymously if he had.
0 ups, 3y,

It is in the training manual, but it also says to move them to a recovery position (on his side). This is why officer Lane suggested rolling him in his side.

from a transcript of the incident:
https://www.twincities.com/2020/07/09/george-floyd-transcript-read-it-in-full-here/

Lane: Should we roll him on his side?
Chauvin No, he's staying put where we got him.
Lane: Okay. just worry about the excited delirium or whatever. Chauvin Well that's why we got the ambulance coming.
Lane: Okay, I suppose.

Officer Lane actually suggested rolling him on his side again after that.
2 ups, 3y,
1 reply
So it IS in the training manual but the chief didn't lie?

That's weird tho. If Lane was worried about excited delirium, I'm not sure if being on his side would be better.

You'll notice the manual says cardiac arrest can happen after a struggle.

You can armchair quarterback and look back in hindsight but I seriously doubt Chauvin intended for him to die.
1 up, 3y
I agree that he didn't intend him to die. Which is why what he was found guilt of was "second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter".
1 up, 3y,

If you asked me to either take Floyd's dose of fentanyl or be restrained as he was by Chauvin for exactly the same length of time, I'd take the restraint every single time.
