aaaaaand leave their entire lives - down to grandma - behind just so they can cram themselves into some slum box lost in the bowels of the people they worship but will still never get to be.

That could be said for Germany, Canada, the UK and any other country. That says nothing about the fact that America fails at everything.
4 ups, 3y
Not many Americans fleeing to Canada to get away from out “failures”. Immigrant refugees from other countries pass through Mexico and other countries to cross our southern border. Why do they stop here? Why not go all the way to Canada? 😂
4 ups, 3y,

It could be, but it isn't.

Sure, assorted Islamic refugees (because there aren't any other kind, it seems) want to get into those countries ..... as a way to eventually get into the USA.

America created the world you see today, in our image, like Gods, while the beggars whine and ask Daddy Uncle Sam for more allowance so they can clothe and care for what they used to leave to die on the streets prior to post-WWII Planet Earth. Fhuckshit, even the big bad commie USSR depended on the USA for 70% of the grain it consumed during the Cold friggin War SEVENTY PERCENT! pfffffft, and today we got Iran waiting for the Great Satan to go nice on it and give them their allowance back and trade - trade which the likes of Russia and China are currently engaged in with that lump of fetid decay, yet the economy of the world's SECOND OLDEST COUNTRY continues to spiral like a floating turd going down the toilet.

The whole world emulates even our junk culture, our music, our clothing, our slang. They'd rather watch our movies and tv shows than their own. Right here on this site it's easier to identify foreign fakers than real Americans, going beserk over some guy they saw on our tv like he's their savior.

Seriously, did you know the front page of their papers are more likely to cover us than their own dull mumbling flotsam? Oh, that's right, you DO know, right?

Jealousy, that most potent of addictions.
Careful, it will leave you nothing but disappointent - and deservedly so - in that abject pit of nitrogenous intestinal froth you could almost call a life if it had at least a vague resemblance to one instead of to a crumbled clay encrusted nugget of litter box treasure it bears an uncanny resemblance too, minus the cute kitty that ejected it into its humble abode you call your world.

America. Because the world is jealous.

enjoy!

The world is not jealous of us. They are appalled that we can’t guarantee healthcare to everyone, despite being the richest country in history. Outside observers have described our healthcare situation as “third-world poverty conditions”. We were described by a foreign educational institution as a “developing country”, and not to immigrate here because of our healthcare during COVID in 2020.

Healthcare cost are HIGHER in the USA because:

1. The US is where nearly all new developments and advances in medicine are made. Those costs have to be recouped somehow. Otherwise we become like other countries - mere distributers waiting for the newest in healthcare from abroad.

2. Insurance companies and the goverment guaranteed healthcare plans of Medicaid and Medicare for the needy and elderly (which have been directly linked to insurance companies since W Bush), by assuring payment, have been significant drivers in raising prices.

3. Other countries don't spend a huge amount of ther budget on military protecting other countries from each other and Communist invaders seeking to expand their brand of dire poverty.
Nor do they give financial and other assistance to the whole dang world lest it all slip back to Third World status as the general population of even richer European countries lived in prior to the Marsall Plan. Them stories your 4'3" granny told you about sewing old newspapers into the lining of their hand-me-down woolen coats to stay warm and living on boiled potatos and cabbage flavored with suet every night for dinner with a chunk of beef tossed in on Sunday? Well, they're true.

AKA other goverments can afford it because they have money to burn, we can't because we're giving that money to burn to them directly and indirectly va monetary, military, and other assistance.

Besides, why should we guarantee healthcare to everyone? If you can spend 3 days camped out to buy Fallout5 for $180 (or whatever those things cost the first month) with a steady supply of $7.98 Ventis or the !Phone12 for $880, you can pay to get your temperature taken. Sheesh, even insurance is a caustic vampire on the wallet. Get rid of it, pay your own way, and healthcare costs will go DOWN.

Cuba is leading in cancer and AIDS research. Your “new developments” excuse doesn’t explain why a carton of insulin in the U.S. is $300 but $20 in Canada. Besides, if we are so efficient and advanced, why do we have such a high infant mortality rate?

You were first correct about insurance companies. Medicare and Medicaid are literally the most popular and successful U.S. programs today. In my state, we even replicate something like it.

It is way false to say we can’t afford guaranteed healthcare because under the current system we are paying more than we would if we adopted Medicare for All. I repeat, we pay more than any developed nation for healthcare.

And we should absolutely want to provide guaranteed healthcare because 30,000 Americans every year die due to lack of healthcare. Millions of Americans have significant medical debt. About half of the population admits to avoiding going to the doctor because of costs. This is absolutely pathetic and it’s only because the powers that be want to keep insurance company profits intact.

Yet so many Cubans have fled to the US. I guess you forgot those Cuban regime survivors in Florida coming out and warning America against socialism last year. Cuba is in crisis, and despite your insistence it has to do with US embargoes, that’s not the case. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/cuba-exploded-protests-goes-us-embargo-pandemic-rcna1399
0 ups, 3y
Did you say CUBA? Yeah, I left that one off when I mentioned the USSR and Iran because I was sure you'd bring it up.

That's the country that despite the USSR subsidizing it back in the day withered like brine soaked raisin in the hot tropical furnace of a sun because of our sanctions? Sanctions followed by who else? Oh, that's right, NOBODY!
People from other countries have been free to travel and buy Cuban, yet to this day it's an ossified testament to the 1950s because Big Daddy Uncle Sam wasn't trading with it and giving them their allowance to rebuild from the devastation wrought by Hitler and the Nazis like the rest of the parasites of the world gets... *yaaaaawn*

Cuba is so stalled without us to change its diapers, even Global Warming hasn't touched it - its corals are doing fine, it's waters have 9 times the sharks surrounding isles do, same with the rest of sealife round it. You know why? They can't afford fertilizer, and farming on a mass scale is thus an exercise in exhaustion rather than profit. Just don't tell the Climate Change aficionados that an huge island in the middle of the Caribbean is immune to the ravage's of that crisis, you will rankle the ire of Greta Thornberg and ruin Al Gore's mega million investments in the Carbon Trading Market...

But I digress,,,

Their currency is so worthless, tourists have to buy a separate currency. How's that for what any ol' gov't can afford?

Not leading, just A leader, as in they're actually trying instead of crying like the rest of Planet Welfare. They aren't leading ahead of us. Just ask el COVIDo19.

But you know what? I'm so magnanimous, I'm willing to give you my permission and blessing to go move to that bucolic isle and enjoy the one bar of soap per month they give to every household for FREE.
I almost envy you, I mean, the 1950s were pretty nifty, and Spanish colonial architecture is something else, and they got more old buildings than even the former USSR's Eastern European slave states do.

So put your INTUR Pesos where their mouth is, and enjoy!

toodles!

That's how I was literally brought up because my dad was a deadbeat. "Ma, can I go rollerskating with all of the other kids?" "No, because if you get hurt we won't be able to take you to the ER." When we did do something stupid like wipe out on our bicycles we did a little 10 year old first aid, rubbed some dirt on it, and walked it off. That was the '70s. As an adult, I've never held a job where healthcare wasn't part of the package and I've never not had a job. Personal responsibility.

Pretty sure the prison population doubled under Reagan, largely due to the War on Drugs, but Republicans and Democrats are both complicit in mass incarceration.

Our “welfare state” is pathetic compared to that of the rest of the developed world. Clearly you don’t understand the meme. Clinton made serious restrictions to welfare, while other countries have more robust protection for those less fortunate. The conservative trend to cut corporate tax rates and incentivize companies to stay in the U.S. has failed to reverse the trend of moving operations overseas.
2 ups, 3y,

Well two things make criminals. Laws and culture. So yeah both sides are complicit in creating our crime culture along with the cia which liberals were against until they spoke up about Trump. F**k intelligence:)

As for the welfare state I'm both talking about welfare and the victimhood, systemic racism bs that liberal college types have been allowed to sell and profit from which has literally made generations of useless turds in society. I've worked with people for over w0 years and there is a huge distinction between the mentality of the youth and the old and between the urban, rural and suburban. The areas where democrats have been in power for r0 plus years are trashy ghettos. All this wonderful socialism isn't going to make for a better civilian because our mentalities suck. It will make for more useless and greedy do-nothings that will eventually call for the heads of the competent.

So yeah people will suffer from Republicans lack of help but the spiritual damage caused by Democrats and the move toward small brain collectivism is far worse in my opinion. People can still fight and make something of themselves in a corrupt system but in the collective system you are nothing.
1 up, 3y
Democrat dominated states and cities are the economic leaders of the US, subsidizing so-called Red States because they've been sooooooo set back on account of the War of Northern Aggression 150 years ago.

Large cities have ghettos, small towns have trailer parks.

The average person on Welfare is a 27yo white single mother, and the South leads in that, as well as crime rates, obesity rates, drug rates... even AIDS rates.

So let's try to keep things in perspective and a little more grounded in reality, shall we?

Black people are more than 3 times likely to be shot and killed by police.

Killed by police is the sixth leading cause of death for young U.S. black men.

Black and Latino people make up the majority of the population in state prisons and jails.

One-third of black men in their lifetimes will be in jail, prison or on some type of correctional supervision in their lifetimes.

Black defendants are given harsher sentences than their white counterparts for the exact same crime.

Black defendants are more likely to be given the death penalty.

Black people are disproportionately arrested for marijuana use rates, even though they use at a similar rate to white people (Nixon advisor admitted Drug War was aimed at targeting black people and hippies).

Black children are more likely to be suspended than their white counterparts.

Schools in predominantly black districts receive far less funding than more white districts.

Black names on applications are less likely to be followed up with for an interview.

The black and white wealth gap is unchanged since the late 1960s.

To deny systemic racism is simply pure ignorance.

Stupid. Blacks disproportionately commit crimes so of course they will disproportionately be criminals, and thus have records thus giving justification for stiffer penalties for the same crimes. You are the one that is ignorant of displaying common sense. Nice of you to copy and paste some shit instead of having an honest argument. Typical low brain collectivism as I previously had mentioned.
0 ups, 3y
Correct word usage makes an argument more cogent, albeit not necessarily more factual.
1 up, 3y,

None of that was copy and pasted, they are all researched facts that I know.

You think black people commit more crimes but gloss over the fact that they are overpoliced, more likely to be wrongfully convicted or charged of murder, LIKELIER TO GET A HARSHER SENTENCE THAN THEIR WHITE COUNTERPARTS, that a drug war was literally launched to target them, stop and frisk, gang crackdowns are all part of predictive policing measures that target black people and their communities for arrests.

When slavery was "abolished", black people quickly became the majority in prisons, and were already the majority population in northern U.S. prisons. Is this because they were disproportionately criminals then, too, or has our system been pitted against black people for centuries, like many academics would agree?
2 ups, 3y
Up until 2017 more 'Whites' were arrested than 'Blacks' for capital crimes, yet the latter have been more likely to get convicted.

Look into the rise of chain gangs as a replacement for slavery, and the incentive it provided for lopsided justice.

Also in terms of the bogus War on Drugs, compare the FBI supplying heroin to ghettos and Ronny 'Just Say No to Drugs Except Crack' Reagan having the CIA transport cocaine into the inner city while NOW heroin use is something to be treated with posh treatment centers and new medications because it is afflicting our fine upstanding affluent suburban youth.
