“Save the semantics game for someone who might fall for it.
Conservative/Republican and Liberal/Democrat are practically interchangeable. You'll find few Liberal Republicans and few Conservative Democrats.
Increasingly, we can also interchange socialist and communist for Democrat.”
I refuse to drop the semantics. When you generalize groups of people it only serves to victimize individuals no matter how you slice the simplification of goals, morals, or objectives of any group of people and continuing to mischaracterizing them only makes you intellectually dishonest.
I can disagree with liberals, and there are many in the Republican Party who are for regulation and limiting civil rights of the individual that try to pretend they’re conservatives with their base values being pro-life, pro-second amendment, and pro-religious freedom; but that’s where their conservative values end.
There is more to conservatism than those three key points. And sacrificing everything else for those key points will not be beneficial when Republicans resume full control of the three branches of government.
I refuse to see liberals and Democrats as the enemy. And those whom push for Communism or Socialism are ignorant for three reasons. First, they’re no better than any other anacists who simply want sweeping changes. Second, they tend to be a younger generation who’ve yet to travel, fully been exposed to the history of the world, and are in major financial disposition to justify their objectives despite their erroneous belief that it will solve anything. Thirdly…
We already have a Social-Capitolist economy. We’ve had it for almost 100 years. Anyone who thinks going back to a total capitalist structure (free market) or a total socialist structure (communism) are delusional but if they are capable of wanting change then they are capable of changing their minds.
So I refuse to see them as the enemy.
