Your meme makes absolute, 100% logical sense MichaelWells3. But you can't use logic on some people. As a society, we make choices all the time about matters concerning life and death versus convenience, or in the case of cigarette smoking, which addictions we as a society will tolerate. Yet with covid, we are also utterly ignoring the mental problems associated with people losing their livelihoods, their homes, as well as the increase in deaths due to the lockdown (not covid itself, just the lockdown), the increase in rates of alcoholism, spousal abuse, critical medical procedures that were not done, etc., etc., and the kids... oh, the kids. They may never recover! It's not like we can put them all back a year (or now, maybe two years) and give them the education they would have had. So when the dust settles, will the left factor any of this into their calculus and their thinking? Absolutely not. I'm not generally a conspiracy theorist, but it wouldn't take much of one to see that maybe they did all of this for one reason and one reason alone; orange man bad. Just speculating there! Not stating it as a fact.

The main difference is that you don't choose when you get COVID-19. However, you do choose when you want to destroy your lungs by smoking.

Actually not when you are surrounded and therefore inhaling second hand smoke.

And the same people who want mandated masks and vaccines will readily support a smoking ban. Shoot, they've been subtlety pushing it for the past decade (probably longer). So i'm not sure i see your point.
