Did you just ASSUME their gender roles??!?!?!?!
3 ups, 3y
No because Cowards and Scum are adjectives.
3 ups, 3y
I noticed there are no men in that bottom photo. That's sexist.

To be fair, they're not running. They're FLYING! I guess ruining the environment is better than getting exercise...

Cruz had no job that he was expected to perform. Texas Democrats left the state to avoid doing the job they were elected to do - vote on legislation.

And since this is basically the same move Mitch McConnell pulls every time he calls for a filabuster that means you're in favor of them getting rid of it?

It's a literal fact, the few cases of actual cheating were Republican.

Rules for thee but not for me! 3 of these Democrats now have COVID! LOL, They rode the Delta Variant Airline!

It is just as lame as constant filibusters or failing to do your "advise and consent" duties.

To filibuster, one must be present.

Maybe you sure research it a little more. Anyway still another lame way to constantly avoid voting.

They didn't have the balls to filibuster, because they couldn't face the facts that the bill they're running from extends the voting period, the voting hours - and only restricts some of the covid measures like unattended 24 hour drop boxes.

But, yeah, I should do more research on the proposed laws of my own state....

Oh never mind. The comment was a dig on congress. Fear not, when I need TX law help I will come straight to you. The point is everyone pulls whatever tricks they can. Most people will complain in one case then bend in pretzels to justify when the tables are turned. I said at both Supreme Court nominations, Garland and Barrett, that a vote should occur. How many out there did the same?

You're a rare specimen then. Most were losing their minds over the Trump SCOTUS picks.

Well Republicans stunt with Garland is the same type of crap that is pulled here.

Garland has since proven that he would have been a poor choice for SCOTUS
0 ups, 3y
Not everyone would agree with your position. The point still stands that the process was not followed. If you rationalize it away you just end up with more people rationalizing events like this down the road.

He didn't leave during legislative session. Also, he has no elected duties in the state of Texas, he's elected to represent us in Washington DC. There's nothing for him to do in Texas, especially during an ice storm.

Texas Democrats left - specifically - to avoid doing their job.

They're against a longer early voting period and longer voting hours? Yeah, that makes sense.

They're counting on people being too lazy to read the bill they're "protesting".

This is a political stunt.

So, you're saying that you haven't read the bill.

We already knew that.

You're doing it again. Projecting.

I live in Texas, numbskull. This, literally (in the most literal sense of the word), affects me. Of course I read it, if only to better understand how completely the narrative is a lie.
