Fauci was the expert advising Trump. Fauci was the one who dismissed using HCQ. Other counties have successfully employed HCQ, Ivermectin, etc. against the virus. In Jan 2020 Fauci said “..this is something Americans do not need to be worried about.”

What an oversimplification of the entire situation. Under Fauci’s urging, FDA banned HCQ, which research showed in 2005 is affective against SARS. Many other countries did use HCQ, ivermectin etc. Probably because USA has one of the highest percentage of people within co-morbidity. Statistics matter. USA is third most populous country. About a half dozen countries have higher death per capita . Also, Alameda county, CA, and the state of Colorado eventually removed died with Covid from their statistics – resulting in about a 25% drop in death by Covid. Why don’t you ask Governor Cuomo about unnecessary nursing home deaths?
