I will not be flying United. And speaking of woke, when are we going to demand that half of all NBA and NFL players be white?!?! Come on now. Fair is fair.

It is about affirmative action in 2021 which has turned 'anti-white' & actually 'anti-male', IMO. When quotas & set-asides are against ANY race, it becomes racist and anti-American as all Americans are equals under the law today, SukaMadik.

White males have become the most maligned group of people in America. I support high standards of excellence and not affirmative action in 2021. Instead of setting goals and hiring the best people, our standards have fallen in education, the private sector and pretty much across the board as we attempt to avoid being called the over-used & abused term 'RACIST'. I am not afraid of it as I treat all people equally (which is something liberals cannot do as they see people of color as inferior thereby necessitating the lowering of standards to include them).

Don't planes mostly fly themselves these days? Do commercial airlines even train pilots? I read it's a crappy job now because you have to spend a LOT to get flight hours, and the few choice routes always go to the senior pilots.

Ask Sully Sullenberger if the plane flew itself.

Sully was flying an Airbus when both engines blew out, so he would probably say, yeah the planes mostly fly themselves.

The point is the computer didn’t land Sullys plane and all those lives were saved by the pilot. When something goes wrong with a computer or the plane that the computer can’t accommodate you die without an accomplished pilot. You think you fly on a plane with a McDonalds style interface so all you need is someone to touch the picture box is the peak of naïveté.

Doesn’t negate the need for an experienced pilot in case something goes wrong. You are advocating that planes fly themselves so you don’t need anybody special to fly them. I prefer to have someone like Sully flying my plane than some equity selection based on race or skin color. Totally pertinent to the topic.

Your the one trivializing the pilot and justifying using less competent people to fly simply because of the color of their skin. Please apply that same theory to the NBA. We don’t need the best players but we need to increase the white, Hispanic and Asian presence so as to reflect societal Percentages. It’s a dumb argument and you support it with your statements.
